Enjoy the free books while you can. An estimated $300 for three textbooks out of your own pocket is not a very pleasing experience to go through... every quarter... yeah... I don't know if I'd rather watch Pasolini over football. Which ever would cause me less pain, I guess.

The first day was exhausting! At least I got to chuck all the stupid subjects and do only those I want. So now it's just english, afrikaans, maths, drama, art and business economics. Bliss! (Except for maths...)
Well, my mom still pays for them (the books), they're ridiculously expensive for the load of shit they are. I chuck them at the end of the year when I can't sell them to someone younger than me.

I do keep some of my books, but the ones I find to be irrelevant I just sell back to the school. (The school then goes and sells it for the price I bought it for, thus ensuring that they always rip off the students.) Interesting story. One time I noticed about six books that other students weren't able to sell to the school, so I just grabbed all the interesting ones. Then I decided to try selling them to a used book store. I would have got $12 for the lot of them, if I had an ID, so I went and got an ID card and went to other used book stores to see what I'd get. First store wouldn't take them, second store would only buy one for $1.50, and the third one (the one I went to the day before) wouldn't take them. Moral: always carry around an ID card so you can make massive amounts of money.

I'm starting the tenth grade today :-) yay! ah, memories... and you're not alone, ie. my college, just like any other, rips you off to no extent when it comes to book buy-backs...last year i bought this flimsy media textbook for about 100 bucks...they bought it back at the end of the semester for a hefty $14. justice? i think not.

Wow, that spam ended up containing a very bad piece of malware. I noticed the .exe, but I dared not open it. Source.

Not at all. (I might even say that you're wrong.) I've been doing it for a while, because it differentiates the movie from the rest of the text. This may not seem important for common movies, but when you get into movies that have kind of strange titles, it really helps. Welcome to the club.

That's not nice... I did my waitressing job at a diner/bar one day from eleven AM to four AM the next morning. That was so sick.
At least I'm back to school now, though it isn't much better because I have choir practice for three hours on Mondays... 'Til seven PM. It's crazy. I stayed home today because the weekend is catching up with me.
That's all (for me) (for now).

I'm going to Vancouver for the remainder of the week on a field trip to check out a bunch of graphic design and advertising agencies. I'll be graduating from University this spring and will probably end up working at one of them in the near future. Hoping to pick up a bunch of DVDs while I'm there.

A while back, Dan posted a huge amount of banners that Raider made on Criterion forum. They seem to be lost, if anyone stumbles upon them or knows where they are, shoot Dan or me a Pm or leave a message here.
