Mission: Impossible III- (J.J. Abrhams)  My Opinion: See it. Some critics have said it's better than both the first two films. An American Haunting- (Courtney Solomon)  My Opinion: It's probably better than most other horror movies nowadays, but nothing special-looking. Hoot- (Wil Shriner)  My Opinion: Crap, this week's RV. Art School Confidential- (Terry Zwigoff) (limited)  My Opinion: Sucks that this is limited, because it looks really good, kind of the art school version of Rushmore? The Promise- (Kaige Chen) (limited)  My Opinion: Again, sucks that this is limited. Apparently the most expensive film in Chinese history ($30 million)

I will probably see MI III but idk yet. I don't see how people could not like Promise. Look at that trailer!

I will see Mi:III. Its got some good reviews. Will not see An American Haunting or Hoot. Art School Confidential looks a little too derivitave for me. I want to see the Promise, but probably wont until it comes out on DVD.

Actually the Promise got some pretty bad reviews. So, my interest level has gone down.

I'll see M:I3 but I'm expecting it to be absolute drivel. My philosophy is that if I set my standards low enough, I'll enjoy it.

In my newspaper it got 3 1/2 stars and entertainment weekly gave it B+ so it could be good.

And on rottentomatoes, it got something like a 33%. So, I dont think I will be seeing it.

Oh yeah because rotten tomatoes is amazing. Fight Club has like a 50%. So there is always the chance it could be good. And I have already heard people say it was good.

It did have a 50 at one point. M:I 3 is definately the best of the three movies. The first one had major pacing problems and the second one just sucked. This one is just a good action movie.

Farewell My Concubine put Chen on my "see everything the man does if possible" list, so I will see it. If only for the cinematography alone. |

Art School Confidential looks a little too derivitave for me. Have you seen Ghost World?! From the director and based on a graphic novel by the same guy who did the graphic novel Ghost World is based on. You have no idea. What the fuck is it derivitave of? |

I dunnno. It just looks like another Rushmore just like you said. It just doesn't look like I will like it. I will probably see it when it comes out on DVD. So we will see what I think about it eventually, And I was talking about the Promise when I said it had 33%
