Movie of the Month: September/October: MIRRORMASK

Well maybe we should start of with something other than La Jetée, even though you can get it on youtube and stuff, it is foreign and it would be better to do a regular length film, foreign or not, that people have seen more. Seven Samurai could work down the road though.

I am leaning more towards something like a good comedy (Rushmore) or something fun like Kill Bill. Anything fun like that you can think of throw it out there.

I'd still suggest a movie that's not full length, and easy to get off YouTube and the like.


This is, after all, the first time in the history of the universe that we've tried something of this nature. It'd help if it were as short as possible.

I think Bottle Rocket is a good choice. It's pretty short, and most people have seen it, and it's a lot of fun. I don't know. Opinion?

That would give me a reason to finally watch Bottle Rocket. Once before the actual chat, and a second time during the actual chat.

Awesome! Sounds good. me, ptahole, and blackmoses (maybe beed) will all watch it when we set a date at my house. One of us should have the movie, I think. Now we can set a date.

How does Thanksgiving weekend look for everyone? Thursday the 23rd through Sunday the 26th. Sure, you might be out Thursday and Friday eating and stuff, but I don't think you'll be stuck there Saturday or Sunday. The 26th might work best.

If that doesn't work, I suggest a Sunday afternoon. Of course, we have to deal with time zones (Agent Knight ), but we could figure something out in terms of the time.

If we are going to do this, we should wait til the week after next. I (but probably not everyone) am getting the entire week off for Thanksgiving Break, and my 'schedule', I can probably fit a day to watch a movie in there.

Just another idea.

Well, you could always get in on the next one, which should probably be around Xmas.
This is just a test run, after all.


I found my Bottle Rocket DVD. Now I just need to watch it before hand, because otherwise I won't be able to keep up in the chatroom.
