What are some movies you would never watch in your life, or movies that you have seen and don't ever want to revisit for whatever reason? And why don't you want to see that movie?

It is hard for me to pick movies I 'refuse to see' actually, there are movies that look like complete shit, or movies that I don't want to see, but a lot of times I end up seeing them just to see how shitty they are (Big Momma's House 2!). But still, a movie I hate so much without having seen it is Freedom Writers. It looks like it could be the worst film I ever watch, which is why I am going to try very hard to stay away from it, although my curiosity might pull me in.
Movies that I will never watch again? That one is also hard. I will have to think more about that.

I have no interest in Salo, though it gets its highest recommendation from Dan. Sodomy doesn't interest me. Also no interest Miyazaki because I am a stubborn ass and won't watch anime.

Im pretty sure you don't have to enjoy ass sex to find value in Salo.
I refuse to watch any other Tenacious D movies made. They suck.

I'm never going to Star Wars again... God those movies were bad. The acting was atrocious, the special effects were terrible in all the movies, old and new! The plot was horrifically ill concieved and stretched farrrrrr toooo loonnnnngngggngngnggg. I almost puked while watching these because they were so bad... And before you bother hitting the "reply" button actually think before you type "Duurrrr, NAZI!" Hell the series pretty much pinoneered the "Flimsy plotline." As well as the stiff acting, unrealistic and trite dialogue, a blitzkrieg of a marketing campaign -- all these things and more are enough to cause me to throw up my hands out of frustration with all things Star Wars. And before you state it... NO I DONT LIKE STARTREK! IN FACT IT PRETTY MUCH SUCKS THE SAME! While I realize that Many, many people on this board have been brainwashed by PTAhole, or whatever, into foamy-mouthed, jittery cretins, who, at the mention of Star Wars, and though I'm not exactly sure why, I certainly feel the need to provide an alternative viewpoint, you know, in case anyone ever wants to come back down to earth and play nice with the rest of civilization. God it makes me wanna just shoot someone because so many people like this steaming piece of shit...

dude...of course the dialogue and story's stilted and cheesy. that's the point. it's an homage to the old saturday morning serials. don't take it so seriously.

Though even scrubbing my eyes with acid won't take the images away and the therapy has been unable to arrest the recurring nightmares I certainly won't be compounding the permanent psychological damage I incurred by watching Pumpkin by seeing it again. If all other movies were miraculously destroyed and Pumpkin, by sheer force of its irredeemable evil, survived I'd STILL never go anywhere near it. If you find a dvd of this film don proper protective clothing , buy it, then burn it for the good of all humanity.

That's a better looking one than the one I've been using. Star Wars: A New Hope is the only one of the original trilogy I really care at all about, in part because I think Lucas was trying to make a samurai movie with lightsavers. The other two just didn't do it for me. But back on topic now... I try to see as many movies as I can, so there are only a couple that I've just been avoiding. I won't humor you with a list, sorry. As for movies I would really hate to see again, the only one I can think of is I HATE Huckabees. Maybe Alone in the Dark or Bulletproof Monk as well, but I might just end up laughing at those, but with the first one...

That trilogy is sickeningly boring... Urrrgggghhh.
I feel like it's hopeless even talking about them because firstly, it upsets me, and secondly, it makes me more depressed at the sheer volume of crap.

I personally love those movies, but I'm a Tolkien-head, so that probably has some influence.

and it's so ridiculously overrated and hyped up by almost everybody. Just 'cos it's got the looks that doesn't mean it's the best. I also think it's not even impressive on a technical level. If it was done without 3D/CGI then i would have been much nicer I think.

They aren't the best movies of all time, but they were enormously entertaining and if you watch the behind the scenes stuff, you see how much damn time they put in those flicks. Like five years or so.
You can't really do LOTR without CGI, its virtually impossible.

Obviously, but the animated ones sucked and the first ones you posted were the books, which are better than the movies.
Yea, I didn't see Saw III, won't see Saw IV or most other horror sequels and remakes.

Yeah, well, I posted the novels to be like "O RLY?" to the thought that the Lord of the Rings story could only take place using CGI.

So are you guys judging Lord of the Rings before seeing them/finishing them? If so, that is crazy. I can see completely ignoring/not seeing Little Man, or some shit, but these are good films, in more ways then one. A lot of times there are reasons things are talked about, I can see being reluctant seeing a hyped film, but not seeing it at all?!
And those films being boring always angers me, I am not saying this just to you two specifically, 'cause I know you guys aren't probably like this, but those are three of the most action packed, fast moving, visually beautiful films I have ever seen, and if those are boring to people it makes me think like they wouldn't be able to watch so many other films (Andrei Rublev, Children of Paradise, Solaris, etc.) without being bored. The battle at the end of II is enough action to fill 500 films, or more. Just needed to say how much it irritates me when people say that. I also hate when people write off films that I like. (in general, I know you guys probably have reasons for saying what you did, but most people don’t, and that is what irritates me probably most of all)

Well, I haven't really bothered to see any of the Lord of the Rings movies because, originally, I wanted to read the Hobbit first, and now I'm probably just going to wait for that the Hobbit movie to come up. I haven't been reading novels lately, so it'd be easier just to wait for the movie. That, and even though I've seen the first movie and did like it and own the regular DVDs, my interest in movies has just been geared toward other movies.

Well I hope you watch them someday, I think you will like them, ie. Here is easily one of the worst looking films ever; I would never see this in a million years. A direct-to-video prequel to the already one of the worst films ever, Dukes of Hazzard. Not to mention there are none of the original cast, EXCEPT WILLIE NELSON! YEE-HAW! And on top of all this, it is called Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning. I seriously cannot believe such shit can get released.
