The two Herzog's I have seen are great, but they canot compare to the works of Polanski that I have seen. I might vote Herzog after I have seen more of him but for now Polanski.

I LOVE Cronenberg. Everything I have seen from him has been good. I have not even seen Videodrome or Spider. But A History of Violence, Naked Lunch, The Fly, and the Dead Zone are all great.

Cronenberg is overrated. Gilliam is also capable of making dreck but he is the better filmmaker. So Gilliam.

I know Quentin is higher on my list then Robert is, but I definitly need to redo that list soon. Quentin has made 4 great films, but Robert's body of work is more signinifcant. So, I will go with Altman.

I'm gonna go with Altman. While Tarantino hasn't made a bad movie, Altman has made more good movies. It was hard, though.
