I think your list is a little too conventional, while there are many good films, there are films that shouldn't be on here in my mind.

I know you have seen much better films than these, even if you don't like them more, which is why you should expand it so you people can at least see you have seen more than just this standard/plain group of films.
Obviously can't argue against Untitled though. *I would insert a winking smilie if YMDB forum hadn't turned me off from using them FOREVER!*
Nice posters by the way!

Aliens above Dawn of the Dead? ? You have always had Dawn on your list and it was used to be number 10 on your list! It is also your FAVORITE horror film. But you have Aliens above it?

Obviously this guy has a different standard of picking his favorite movies. Ya, I guarantee he has seen "better" films, but these are the ones he loves. At least he isn't like the people I know, loving the latest Marlon Wayans movie. Get off his nuts.

The 3 best: Taxi Driver - The atmosphere, the acting, the powerful filmatic expression; a fantastic, brilliant piece of filmmaking which manage to hit you hard in the stomach. Dawn of the Dead - So much fun, so much it lets you think about, so much to throughoutly enjoy. I love this film. 2001: A Space Odyssey/The Empire Strikes Back - 2001: Visually one of the most beautiful films ever, and it's also highly interesting in terms of what's behind the pictures. Empire: One of the greatest films in the "category" sci-fi-adventure.
The 3 "worst": Lord of the Rings; FOTR or TT - Ok films, but nothing great. Back to the Future - Pretty enjoyable film with some nice elements put into it, and it kind of have something to say. I like it very much, but not top 20 material for me, as you probably already have guessed. Pulp Fiction/Aliens - Both excellent films, but from what's on the list, and from what I have seen, these are the third "worst films".
Not seen: Chungking Express, 3-Iron, Army of Darkness, Dazed and Confused, The Fountain, Princess Mononoke, Clerks and Clerks II, Almost Famous.

21. Jaws (75; Spielberg) 22. Sleeper (73; Allen) 23. A Clockwork Orange (71; Kubrick) 24. Magnolia (99; Anderson) 25. The Graduate (67; Nichols) 26. Rashomon (50; Kurosawa) 27. Kill Bill (03-04; Tarantino) 28. Halloween (78; Carpenter) 29. The Royal Tennenbaums (01; Anderson) 30. The Virgin Spring (59; Bergman) That is all for now... Some great movies added! Clockwork Orange, Magnolia, The Graduate, Rashomon are all for sure on my list somewhere. I am also dying to see Virgin Spring. Don't feel Sleeper is worthy of being so high on your list. All the other Allen films I have seen (Stardust, Hall, Point, among others) are better.

It's your list, man, and I don't care too much, but I probably would stick Rashomon a little higher than that. Truth be told, I actually prefer Rashomon to Seven Samurai.
Let the Dan-bashing commence.

Nah, a lot of people prefer Rashomon to Seven Samurai because Rashomon has a suppsosedly deeper meaning or something. I personally feel it doesn't but the point is you won't get bashed.

don't listen to those snobs who call it "too conventional"...so there's some mainstream stuff there, so what? Top 3: - Seven Samurai (my choice for the greatest film ever made) - Taxi Driver - Blade Runner Bottom 3: - Clerks - Royal Tenenbaums - Return of the Jedi (the one loose cog of the star wars trilogy)...and just a suggestion, i'd separate the 3 star wars and lotr...kinda cheapens a list to put an entire series in one slot IMO...unless you consider them all exactly equal in quality, which i just couldn't bring myself to do

I'm really starting to dislike ranking movies like this. I'm only really sure of what my numbers one and two are. Everything else could really mix up depending on the mood. I'm thinking about just bulleting these, and putting them in no order. Then I can add tons of movies, without fools like Joel complaining about Aliens being above Dawn of the Dead.
