I've been thinking about making one. Maybe a "Clerks" parody with movie theatre ushers. I've got to write the script first, and considering I'm the biggest procrastinator ever, it seems unlikely that I'll ever get anything done.

I was thinking of doing something with different themes often exploited (sex, violence, etc.) filming them, and then when I finish, pick songs that are the exact opposite of the scenes, just as an experiment. I think it would be pretty cool. Since I wouldn't time, or plan any of the songs so they would be bouncing off all the wrong beats in the film, like someone could kill someone while taking a shit (not in a comedic way, no motive) and it could be set to say a Creedence Clearwater song, and then that would play during the killing and while he is cleaning up the mess and throwing the body into a tub or something.
Then either move downstairs, I would probably have to have someone jacking off (probably holding just on his face as an homage to Andy Warhol’s film Blow Job, where a girl gives a guy a blow job and it is just a static image of the guys face. Man do I need to see more of that film!), since I wouldn't be able to get any girls to do anything, then it would be set to an opposite track, so that people actually start enjoying themselves, while at the same time being sickened by watching this. Etc. It could work, could not, but it may be cool, and it would be something fairly easy, me, and my normal idiots that help me (ptahole, blackmoses, etc.).
And I always thought to have something like SO hot, like two fucking hot as hell girls fucking, but then flip the footage over and reverse it so all the footage is backwards, then play like sounds of animals dying over top of it, so people would want to be turned on my the images, but the sounds would fuck with them. Or sometimes flash a dick in there so it would totally take people out of the moment. Pretty fucked up, but something I may want to try someday.

Ok, I got an idea thats forming in my head that I was discussing with Andrew. It deals with subtle changes in order and placement of things in a house or room. Or maybe two objects that don't necessarily belong together. Not noticeable to anyone except those paying strict attention. And when the main character finally begins to notice he becomes paranoid. It would be a longer movie, shot in summer (with maybe some in Italy when I go in March), with only one person and a large script. All I need is some good dialogue and maybe a more developed plot.

We got assigned this 30-second commercial project in my Art of Filmmaking class. I got this really interesting idea.
Two people will enter from opposite sides of the frame, with a backdrop of a refrigerator. Two girls begin talking about how one of them thinks she is pregnant. They go on for approximately 12 seconds, then exit the shot. One guy and the pregnant girl enter the frame from opposite sides. She tells him that she's pregnant, and that he's the father. He gets hostile quickly, and says how she's "dead to him" and he continues verbally assaulting her. They exit the shot, stampeding away in anger, and a title fades in saying "Vance Refrigerating: We're always here."

I actually made one around a month ago. It was originally going to be called "The Winter Werewolf" but my Brother had a working computer and changed it to "The Ice Werewolf". Its pretty bad, due to the fact that we were freezing our asses off and I had Bronchitis. Its basically me in a werewolf mask chasing my brother.
As soon as my brothers account is activated again I can show it to you all.

My friend actually made it. He's really good with arts and crafts. It started coming apart while filming, so afterwards we gathered around and took to it like that copier machine scene in Office Space. It was pretty cool

i thought it was kinda funny, but there were many problems in my opinion. As someone who is kinda close to being emo (or i at least know a lot about it) you got many of the things wrong, that just throw me completely off. sweat pants, not emo. color is allowed if you are emo, but it has to be a band t-shirt or something, like for example, a plain white t's shirt. And some other things too. Probably being too critical, just it felt speedily thrown together and not thought-out well enough. Did you shoot this too? |

Yeah, we were only given one class period (42 minutes) to come up with the ideas and film the entire thing, and we were given one day to edit. There are a lot of things I'd like to go back and change, but oh well.

Dan, don't let you own "emoness" throw you off the video. I personally enjoyed it, it was not meant to be higher entertainment. Especially when he brings out the guitar and plays Vertigo. That made me smile.

I'm going to make a short film this summer, together with a friend of mine (who is also quite interested in film - both watching and making). The only thing I know for sure right now, is that the title of the film have to include the word "zombie" (the working-title for the moment is "Zombie Summer"), that it's all about zombies taking over the world (Romero-esque/inspired), that the film is going to be in black&white, with very little dialogue.
Of course, this shit will be to see on youtube or something. Most probably the film is finished this autumn/in the end of summer. I'm guessing the films' lenght is around 20 minutes or so, but that ain't decided yet. To be honest, there's a lot of aspects around this we haven't thought about yet. But I (nearly) promise a zombie-film in black&white with quite a heavy dose of atmosphere and, of course, gore... to be seen... In the future... By Endre and Elias (my friend)

Let's see...I've directed several short films, made several music-synced, Ken Burns-esque slide shows, and codirected, coedited, and acted in one full-length version of "Macbeth."  Right now I'm planning a film on the life of St. Patrick, to be shot in Ireland next summer perhaps, but we'll see where that goes...also have plans for a version of King Lear some years down the road, if all goes well. |

haha, i liked that dude. it was kinda dark in some scenes, but it was cool. i watched it silent, though, is there any reason i should watch it with sound? you seemed quite shaky with the camera, haha. i can definitely relate to boredom in a hotel room.
