Comment on this man! I would also like to say that I just heard about this, a future plan: RED TAILS Director: George Lucas Screenwriter: George Lucas The war film tells the dramatic story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American pilots to fly in a combat squadron during the Second World War.

He is a very skilled director. THX is very good but I think its overrated slightly. Graffiti is amazing as well. I actually liked all the Star Wars prequels too, with the slight exception of Clones. I wanna see those "small, arty" films that he mentions in interviews.

a man who started out with incredible promise and directorial skill, as seen in THX 1138 and Star Wars (2 very different films with different styles: one slow and sparse of detail, the other a rousing adventure hearkening to the saturday morning serials). and then he tried to respond to what his audience wanted (mainly the under-10 audience) with phantom menace, then showing how a bad script can mar attack of the clones, then partially redeeming himself with revenge of the sith, which still doesn't hold a candle to the original.
george lucas in a nutshell IMO

A man who is extremely underrated as a director...
1. Star Wars 2. American Graffiti 3. THX 1138 4. Revenge of the Sith 5. The Phantom Menace 6. Attack of the Clones

His first two films are definitely his best, he used to be a man inspired by brakhage, then he became all about money. Star Wars is a classic film, but his first two are his best directed in my opinion.
