I cannot believe it, a rapper so underrated it hurts. He is easily the best solo rapper I have ever heard, and this album owns. It ranks up there with some of the best ever albums in general. I downloaded it. Eatawiiner, you MUST check this out if you haven't. Download the song "Come Clean" and come back to me with thoughts. I also forgot to mention how sick his beats are, at times so simple, yet so good, that you could never believe it. Has anyone else heard this man? If not, everyone go out and download this/buy it. Now the song “Come Clean” isn’t his best/most profound lyrically, but it is the one that got me hooked so I recommend everyone start with that.

Guess I'm pretty late with my discover, but I just gotta give those of you who doesn't know the music that David Eugene Edwards have given us a fair chance. He was the main singer in Sixteen Horsepower and is now working with the tour of his third (?) album with Woven Hand - which is where I discovered him. He is deeply religious, but both his music and lyrics are black as a moonless night. He has this intensity that push you into an atmosphere totally unique. I don't know what to call it. alternative country? Gothic hilbilly? recommendations for those of you interested: Woven Hand - Dirty Blue Woven Hand - Whistling Girl Woven Hand - My Russia Sixteen Horsepower - Haw Sixteen Horsepower - Black Soul Choir Sixteen Horsepower - Coal Black Horses

some albums i've been digging: Nice, three masterpieces. Nation of Millions... is probably the best rap record ever, or at least top three. Do you agree?

Will you please check out Jeru the Damaja, then? Here is the best song to start off with, probably, and if you like it please check out more. His album, The Sun Rises In The East is probably the best solo rap album I have ever heard. (everyone check that video out!)

^Agreed!!!!!! Not many bands fit the "(place band here) > Music" category, but Beirut sure as hell does. New album > all other albums released this year (besides Panda Bear, Brother ALi, and Explosions In The Sky)!

I don't know of any other than Amazon. There is a great vinyl store here in Erie, so I don't need to go online to find them. I'm sure San Fran has some awesome vinyl stores if you look in the yellow pages.

Hey I've been listening to of montreal lately and they are really good! New album is some crazy mix of neutral milk hotel, the scissor sisters and mindless self indulgence I like them a lot. I recommend everybody give some love to The Mountains Goats. Very good, their new album heretic pride is virtually a perfect album
