I'm sort of in the same boat. I just got a Sansa MP3 player, and have to find a place to get Sonic Youth and Sublime and Young Jeezy. Basically Limewire, except Limewire never has what I looking for. Do you guys know of any good bit turrents or locations to download music files? Thanks. This warrants its own thread.

I rarely download music since I am not allowed on the computer I use most (school rules). So mostly I listen to CD's since I have a killer stereo. I do download music on my other computer once in a while.

Cool, i'm into buying vinyl, but would rather listen to high quality sound on my mp3 instead of ripping the vinyl onto it through my computer, so instead of pulling my funds from vinyl and putting them into CD's, i'd rather just get my shit for free. Shareza looks sorta promissing, I might check that out. If anyone does figure out how to get hella mp3 files online easily (*for free*), let me know. Thanks.

I use Limewire, but I also use an older version of Bearshare too. The newer one is much fuller of ads and tons of junk, the old one works for what I use it for. If anyone wants an older version of Bearshare you should be able to find it on www.download.com but if you can't I can always hook whoever up. But I doubt it would help you too much if you are looking for rarer music, or harder to find songs. You will probably need a torrent site, which I am sure someone can hook you up with a good one.

can you do torrents or not, man? did you read my post on the other thread? Thanks for the link. Im not up on how to use a torrent since I never have before, but im going to research into it since when I typed Sonic Youth in it came back with 15 of their albums, so thats exactly what im looking for. Thanks again.

I buy all my music through CD's and vinyl. Illegal downloading of music is illegal, wrong, and totally not my thing.

Shit, everyone I know use's limewire, and they have such a small selection of everything I want. I've spent more money on music than anything else I can think of my entire life, even weed and gasoline.

Thanks for the tip. A dude over at the CCForum is getting an admin to send me an invite to a private torrent exclusively for music. That should help.
