Drawings, paintings, animation, photography (I think there might already be a thread for Photography), graphic design, etc.

Low-resolution image of a poster I made. I did the guitar in Illustrator and the background in Photoshop. The guitar by itself (although not completely finished). Two wallpapers/desktop backgrounds I made. Vector art.

Very nice. I've been kind of wanting to play around with vector art, or at the very least art styles like the ones you used, but I haven't really done anything much. The only vector art program I had was an Open Office based program, so, um, yeah...
I have some art floating around the various servers on the Internet, although I haven't really done anything digitally in quite a while. At least, not anything that wasn't just a prank.
...I'm surprised no one else at least commented on Zappa von Dappa appearing in the first image/poster that you put up.

^No, I'm awful at it. My sister is very good though. She has an art scholarship at the high school she attends. I'll ask her if I can put some of her stuff up.

My newest painting and my first at some faint surrealism. Ehhh, it didn't work out exactly how I wanted it, but almost.

Fuck, why is it so smaaaall... That picture was a thumbnail of the original. Imageshack automatically generates them with each picture. I usually use them as links to the full picture. (I was able to see the full picture by taking out the .th in the filename of the thumbnail.) Anyways, the painting looks great. I really like the idea of painting a wall to look like the hills in the background. I'm not really sure how you could add to it or change it, except maybe making the floor "see through," but as an artist, I definitely know how it's like to not meet your own personal expectations. I got a really bad case of that for my dad's Xmas present: a motorcycle. Just wasn't able to get the details down, so I scrapped that idea, but when I told my dad about it and showed him the pictures, he said I was 90% there and really liked it. Oh well. Oh yeah, the way you took that photo reminds me of this picture I did a few years back:

Oh, and here's what I consider to be my best picture, done with pens on paper in 2005 (I've been slacking off, I guess): Flaming Yawn ( Filet Mignon)

Yeah I didn't want that because the floor is ON THE FLOOR and there isn't anything to see, through it. Haha, it's a mindboggler. I'm going to make the chair better and do something like a shadow on the floor, still thinking. Tell me if you (anybody) get an idea.

I'm not really sure what you mean by a shadow on the floor, but it looks like you pretty much kicked the chair's ass. As in, unless you were to completely re-do it, I couldn't see much TO change. Your most recent picture is, as they said, well done. I don't really understand what it meeeeeans, and if I were to get all art-school fucking lame on you, I'd say something like "the depth confuses the eye into thinking the stairs are on the same physical plane as the background, therefore disallowing it the pleasure of eternal pleasure." Or some bullshit like that. Good thing I know of two places where such statements are never said: www.sketchtavern.com/forum/ - Their tutorials on shapes really show how you can learn anatomy, learn "the basics" and NOT have to give up your artistic individuality. Which is something that always bothered me about art in school; they could go fuck off with their concepts like unlearning how to draw. But this makes sense, and I even did a hand sketch that looks not bad. thebrokenladder.com/ - This is how digital art is done, plain and simple. I cut my teeth here from time to time, but there are people on here that seem like all they do all day every day forever is draw and redraw. (I'm not particularly angry for using these swear words. I just finished up a day of typing nothing but homework assignments. I need to get the LED OUT! \m/

Nice. I like the left half a little more because it doesn't contain scary little kids , but overall good work.

Yeah, I know, I messed up the right side a bit. I completely lost focus, I didn't know what I wanted to do. Well, it's not bad by any means. You shouldn't see how I do realism. But as an artist, I always know that we're the type to reject work like what you were doing there, so don't! ...

Works for me. So, I looked at this thread and decided to upload three sketches I did this year. I try to keep a blank piece of paper under my keyboard to sketch out shit when I can, and it's turned out fairly well. These character sketches need no introductions.
