Well, it was good while it lasted. However, due to the fact that the only people who post regularly on this forum are Beed and I, I just feel it's not worth it anymore. I'm no longer posting on this forum. I'll miss it, but it was time. If this place is ever revitalized, let me know.

Yeah this is a shame but it is true about the posting slump. Since coming to university I just haven't had time to post as much as I may have done int he past. All forums die but yes, this one has been good for a nice amount of time and has had some great contributors  |

Well, im really glad I got on this forum. I cant say how much I appreciate the movie information and talking to all the great people on here. Really sad to see it go, but you can never tell what the future will hold.

i thought it was pretty damn funny that PTAhole gave up on the forum and everyone was like, "yeah, shame it died, i liked it here". funny shit. anyway, yeah, i'm all for keeping it alive. The timing of this announcement amused me especially. |

It's nice to see that people still want the forum to continue onward. I still won't be posting here that often. (I've kind of lost interest. Not in film, but in internet discussion.) The main reason I announced the end is that Beed and I were the only people posting here for nearly a month, not to mention Mr. Kinem's absence from the forum since, what? July? Anyway, I'll make a few runs through the obligatory threads (Rate the last film, album, book, rank the films/albums/whatever of 2007/8) every week or so.

Oh yeah, I thought I'd mention that I've seen Danny stop going to several forums over the year, so it was inevitable that he'd stop going to his own forum. I've lost interest in the movies, partially because of a need to find a full time job and just a realization that a lot of the movies I was watching just weren't doing a whole lot for me, but fortunately you guys also like muuuusic, so I still have a reason to stop by. |

This forum did go through a dead patch but is a little more alive at the moment. Its a shame some of the regulars have faded away and stopped posting. We just need new regulars! I want to become a regular again, it's been a while now without any participation.  This board was the first forum I visited after YMDB or shompy as it is called now, helped me broaden my horizons and introduced me to criterion dvds, which I still collect. Seeing this old layout again makes me feel it's spring, the time of the year I started to write on the forum. Well, it's springtime now, but where I'm in this world we got snow all the way to the end of may. Nice to see old members still being faithful to the board. |

I been busy.
Seriously, that and I've seen all of about three movies this year. Silence of the Lambs [8/10] and Dark City [6/10] are the two anyone else has heard of, both were acceptable uses of my time. Movies just don't interest me too much anymore.
Watch out Clark/Simon. I'm gunning for you over at LoC for being such an asshole over here. I'll just leave it up in the air as to when, to provide a little more suspense. ;D
Everyone else: PM me with your AIM/ICQ/MSN/Yahoo/Etc if you want to talk about anything. I really have enjoyed talking with most of you over the years, so let's keep those friendships active.
I'll end this post with this: Forums are a dying breed. I don't spend much of my time on forums anymore (ironic statement, I know) because all it comes down to is talks of X vs Y. There's no point to it, because the X-camp will always promote X and the Y-camp will always promote Y. In person communication is so much richer and less aggressive. You may have to worry about someone clocking you in the nose, and you may not get to see andruini's avatar on loop, but there are sacrifices in everything.
