So, as a recap, I interviewed at this computer place on Tuesday. Didn't do so well, but the interviewer insists I did fine. Was told I'd hear from them on Friday at 1PM to 2PM. 3PM and I start to doubt I'll get the position. ^Eh, that sucks. Maybe you'll still get the job. Even if you don't, there are plenty of jobs out there... I called and the guy basically said that if he doesn't call me that I'm not hired, but he might not be able to call until Monday. Okay, so if you don't call me today, I have to wait around a couple more days before knowing whether I'm hired. Awesome. Plus, look at this company's track record. If you're not in good standing with the BBB, you're not in good standing.

I went to download fest 2008 at the weekend. Here is who played www.downloadfestival.co.uk/lineup/Here is who I saw with various opinions:; Rise against - very polished set, good performers, drew a big crowd. Seether - Perhaps the best band of Friday, just a great performance and lots of good mosh pit action! Disturbed - Kid rock dropped out due to sickness (what a shame) so disturbed were allowed to play for about 20 minutes longer. Brilliant set, very showy - lead singer came out on the hannibal lector things and was unstrapped, very cool! Down with the sickness had to be the best song, just awesome! That's all I saw actually. Don't moan about not staying to see Kiss! Judas Priest were fairly shitty I thought, and motorhead were boring too. Saturday:; Skindred - huge crowd pleaser, overall very decent. After they performed it rained which was very welcome, it had gotten very warm in the crowd Job for a cowboy - Entirely overhyped, boring performers. I convinced a few people to miss 36 crazyfists in favour f the devil wears prada on the tuborg stage. The people that went with me didn't regret it. The devil wears prada play with loads of energy and sound simply brilliant live. We got back to the main stage to watch biffy clyro. Before them were madina lake, who got lots of boos and bottles thrown at them. Then it was time for alter bridge. Everything about their set was pretty increible, I was blown away. For me, biffy clyro were probably the weekends biggest disappointment. When I saw them at a smaller venue they played loads of early, heavy stuff but this time it was all softer indie stuff. The only good song was machines, really gives me the chills, great song. After biffy we headed toward the front, ready for bullet for my valentine. Biggest crowd pleasers of the day, gigantic mosh pits, great singalongs, just tight, quality performers - one of my favourite sets of the weekend. I watched some incubuses set, and what I did see was very good, espeically nice to know you, sounded just like the album recording. Most people I knew cleared off before the offspring came on. I sort of wished I'd gone too. They were very disappointing and didn't really interest me until they began to play hit that, which was their seventh or so song. Before that it was all those week singles like million miles away, basically boring. Even when they'd started playing stuff like pretty fly I was disinterested at this bunch of has-beens. Between songs they played some material from the new album, it was rubbish, I was cold, the end. We didn't bother getting to the arena until apocalyptica played on Sunday. They were decent, the within temptation, whom I'd never heard kept me rather well entertained until in flames started playing. I though they were great and was right in the mosh - crowd surfing out after the 6th song. Good fun! I had a piss afterwards and heard some of coheed and cambria. I don't like them anyway but boy was it a weak set! Most of it you couldn't even hear, and believe me, there was nothing wrong with the sound. Didn't bother staying for Jimmy Eat World, this is the second time I hacent bothered to watch them - somebody later told me they were average. Also, i couldn't be bothered to watch lostprophets - which maybe is good because I've since found out my brother booked tickets to see them in August.. So yes, overall I had a great festival weekend! Good bands, amazing atmosphere, just really chilled out.

My first friday on the job as a Help Desk intern at Costco. It's hard, but I managed to get through it, and the pay... let's just say I can buy a CD per hour if I wanted to.

I went to a Japanese festival over the weekend, which is where I bought those Super Famicom games. The main reason I went was to watch a samurai guy cut shit up. Note the resemblance to Kitano Takeshi. Also at the Japanese festival was a flea market with many cheap toys. I bought a number of them, including a blob-y deformed Buddha. The most I know about him is that he was made by a company called Kaiyoda, and is probably actually part of a toy line. Thus making him the best thing ever. edit: Demystified, thanks to my brother.
