Moved to Winston-Salem for college yesterday. Saw a CVS for the first time. Pretty much like Walgreens? Saw David Gordon Green's short film Physical Pinball on the big screen today, as well as a few others made here at UNCSA. Looks to be a pretty cool school. Most of the teachers still work in the film business today. Pretty excited overall.

I'm planning on screenwriting. But they do things differently here, so (a) we don't get to decide our own majors (it's up to the staff) and (b) this doesn't get decided till the end of our 2nd year. So, for now, I'm just a film major. And I get forced to crew for upperclassmen. But I'm still excited.

Yea, that does seem kinda weird to me. I plan on majoring in Government, but if I get into Brown, I don't have to declare till first semester junior year. And that would be awesome  |

Haha, well, there isn't a major for Gaffer boy. And apparently I was told that you can request to the teachers that you major in your specific thing. I was also told that there are always hardly any Screenwriting majors (which is odd). So hopefully it will work out. For now, I'll have to settle for classes like "Telling Tales: Narrative Structure/German-Language Novelle", "Creativity and the Artist", and "History and Philosophy of Science" (which is my only math/science course I'll ever take here).
Wow, Brown. That would be awesome. I thought I remembered a long time ago when Wake Forest was in consideration.

First round of interviews today. Nothing guaranteed yet, but they'll let me know next Tuesday or so. When I do a follow-up call, I'm actually going to have something more to say than just "thanks!" because they couldn't find me in the system. I think it's because they spelled my last name incorrectly. Everyone does.
Too bad there isn't a Gaffer boy major, because then you could be a Gaffer Ninja.

So, I now have two jobs. In one job I work at Super Target. At the other job, that I recently picked up, I get paid $50 an hour to respond to violent crimes and clean up the aftermath. I have to buy my own respirator but my boss pays for the suit and chemicals. I can't wait to start |

Hey, can anyone help me, I forgot the name of a movie I saw a while back, it's "The... Man" and the middle word is something the same as "irritating" or "bothersome". It's got this man, who goes to this place, and everything is boring and the same, and when he cuts of his hand it grows back again, and he's married to a woman but in love with another, and in the end he like burrows through a hole in the ground, arghhh... I forgot it. Reminds me of The Truman Show.
