I don't see it as a western, but nevertheless it's one of my top 3 favorite films off all time. Fantastic film and the best film I've seen about greed. It's indeed a film of moral. Yet another proof of how great and underrated director John Huston is.

Yes! I love the film so much. We can't forget to mention Walter Huston who gives probably the best performance in the whole film imo. I may have to put this in my top 20 soon!
