1 is a classic, two disappointed me a little but it is still pretty decent, three is the perfect film to end the trilogy.

I disagree, part 2 is just as good as the first. I love it so much and just is one of the most fun films to watch. Part 3 is terribly disappointing. I actually would give it a 7/10. I just don't dig it too much.

I don't watch television all that much, but I just happned to be passing by the living room when that very commercial aired. I don't really like the concept of messing around with movies like that, but I don't really mind too much.
I've only seen the first one. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I gave it a 7/10, but it needs a rewatch.

Do it man, it is one of the most fun films I can think of watching. That and Part Two back-to-back is one of the best things I can think of doing. In fact I would watch these films over most trilogies.
I thought the commercial was amusing enough, especially since I hate most commercials.

Monday, January 15, 2007 BTTF.com leads effort in 'Back to the Future' nomination for National Film Registry inclusion
Athens, Ala. — BTTF.com, the Internet’s premiere Back to the Future™ website, sends call to action challenging all fans of the timeless series to nominate the original classic for inclusion in the 2007 National Film Registry.
Established by the U.S. Congress in 1988 as part of the National Film Preservation Act, the Registry authorizes the selection of up to 25 films each year for inclusion. In order for a film to be considered eligible, it must be at least ten years old and be declared "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." Back to the Future obviously meets these qualifications.
According to the National Film Preservation Board's website, the number of public votes each film receives indeed adds weight to a qualifying film's chances during the selection process. Members of the board consult extensively with film experts after reviewing all public suggestions received by March 30 each calendar year, and make their annual selections public after Christmas that same year.
The Registry currently contains 450 films selected over the past eighteen years, however, it does not currently hold a single film directed by Academy Award-winning Director Robert Zemeckis nor starring Emmy-winning actor Michael J. Fox.
BTTF.com would like to see this changed, especially considering that the original film's 25th Anniversary is rapidly approaching. Knowing the fact that attempts to get other films included on the Registry have been a multi-year effort, we feel that now is the time to spearhead this movement just in case it takes more than one year to make the list.
Fans who wish to see Back to the Future be preserved by The Library of Congress for generations to come should submit their recommendation via email no later than March 30, 2007 to the Library of Congress at: sleg@loc.gov.

I agree with you, I mean I like the third film, but it was just nothing too special. Maybe I was let down because of the greatness of the second, and how much was built-up at the end, but I was never and huge fan. The western is not my favorite genre, and I just didn't think it worked as well; we are probably alone on that though.

I like the third one better than the second. Sure it wasn't perfect, but some of the scenes were awesome.

I like the third one better than the second. Sure it wasn't perfect, but some of the scenes were awesome. Any specific reasons you like it more, other than that it is a Western? And, if I remember, you don't really like Back to the Future II? If I am right, is there a reason for that?

I thought Back to the Future III was a blast. It reminded me much more of the first film than the second one did. Just a genuine and fun popcorn film. I thought that II tried to delve too deep into the future and attempted to be more intellectual than it should have been. I know those are weak arguments for both but you must take into account that it has been over five years since I have seen either film.

I LOVE BTTF. The original is one of the few movies that I can watch over and over and over again without getting tired of it. I enjoy the second one very much as well but the third one is just "meh". It just doesn't appeal to me as much and isn't as fun. The original is still the best though.

I thought that being more intelligent and doing something different was a positive aspect of the film, maybe I am alone? The first one is one of the most fun films ever, the second one needed to do something even more, or different, than that, and playing with time much more, and going much more intelligently, instead of being popcorn was a perfect choice, I felt. You should re-watch it.
