Seen every one, some suck, but overall most are great and entertaining films to sit down and watch.

ptahole gave me a list earlier: Dr. No From Russia with Love Goldfinger Thunderball You Only Live Twice On Her Majesty's Secret Service Live and Let Die The Spy Who Loved Me GoldenEye Here are some that others have recommended, so there may be some overlap: Dr. No From Russia with Love Goldfinger Thunderball You Only Live Twice On Her Majesty's Secret Service The Man with the Golden Gun The Spy Who Loved Me Moonraker A View to a Kill The Living Daylights Licence to Kill GoldenEye Tomorrow Never Dies The World Is Not Enough Die Another Day Casino Royale (2006) I talked with a friend of mine about the (Gold ) Bond series yesterday, and he said that he really only liked the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies. He kind of liked Casino Royale, but gave some reasons against it: didn't have Pierce Brosnan, no Moneypenny, no Q, he didn't sleep with the gun, and Bond wasn't a badass because he couldn't play poker (to which I responded "well, I can't play poker...") Also, Casino Royale has really been the only Bond movie I've seen, so previously, when asked what my favorite Bond movie was, I'd respond with Ad hes ive. ;D ;D

I gave up after Octopussy and For Your Eyes Only. I saw about three others but didn't particularly enjoy them. I may give them another shot, though.

Apparently, those two are some of the worst of the Bondography, so you might want to try the other three first.

Connery is the only Bond I like. Goldfinger is so much fun, as is Dr. No. But my favorite is Goldfinger.

I accept Daniel Craig as the new James Bond. Now if only I could see if I can accept the other actors playing Bond.

Those two Pretenders songs in The Living Daylights And the new Casino Royale theme, "You Know My Name" is pretty cool.

It's weird, You Know My Name is probably one of only three Chris Cornell songs I can actually tolerate nowadays, and that's only because of the kickass opening.

Hahaha. No wonder I was turned off by James Bond. I saw all of your "Ugly" list, and not one of those on your "Good" list.

true story: i have never sat through an entire james bond movie from beginning to end. i know, i can't believe it either. i've seen bits and pieces of a few of 'em, namely the brosnans, which in and of itself is blasphemy since i've yet to watch a connery.

I'm worse than you, in that the only Bond movie I've seen at all is the most recent one. Sure, that means I've "sat through" an entire Bond movie, and the most recent one is quite good, but still, to have gotten this far and have only recently seen one Bond movie? I guess that counts for something.

Next Bond Definitely NOT "Risico" Posted: Monday January 29th 2007 12:22am Source: Assorted Sources Author: Garth Franklin In a new interview on The Trades, screenwriters Robert Wade and Neal Purvis ("Casino Royale", "The World is Not Enough") have talked about their work on the upcoming 22nd James Bond flick due in 2008. In the process they shot down one long standing rumour - that Bond's next adventure will be based on Ian Fleming's short story, "Risico." Wade flatly denied the rumor, adding "that's not the case." The denial confirms a report from Dark Horizons earlier this year that the filmmakers had no plans to use the story for the next Bond script as it already had been used for the acclaimed and successful 1981 entry "For Your Eyes Only". Wade however could "not comment" on talk that that the Algerian boyfriend of "Casino Royale" love interest Vesper Lynd will be one of the villains. What about the return of fan favourite characters like Q or Moneypenny? Wade says "With the way Casino Royale ends, you know there's still unfinished business for Bond. He may say, 'The name's Bond, James Bond,' but there's still a lot of stuff churning up inside him. So, if you're going to explore that, and we've got this great actor to do that with, what you don't want to do is suddenly clamp it down with all these familiar elements that keep your focus off him. He's the great asset." Purvis adds that Moneypenny would be the easier of the two to reintroduce though - "Q presents more problems. People have all got gadgets now. Other films have lots of gadgets as well. The idea of Q coming back, for the moment, it's just not a high priority." Tonal wise things are expected to keep to 'Royale' standards for now - remaining gritty and realistic but still keeping some elements that will always be outside the realm of reality like "where you try to make a card game a major part of financing terrorism" says Purvis. Timetable wise "The idea is for the movie to start shooting at the beginning of next year" says Wade. The script is being worked on right now, but "It's not an easy thing to do, because the bar was raised with the last picture, so we have to raise our game" he adds. For the full interview, be sure to click here. Meanwhile, actor Giancarlo Giannini told Italian newspaper Il Giornale that his 'Royale' character of Mathis, last seen being led off by MI6 to either imprisonment or torture, will be back for the next film. CommanderBond.Net, who translated the interview, says Mathis "will be using his double agent status to assist Bond in reaching the top of the mysterious organization that was behind Le Chiffre and Mr. White."

NOOO!!! He did a great job. But I suppose it is a good career move, separating his name from the Bond franchise to avoid being typecast as a director.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to be typecasted as a director. I mean, what would the world come to when you're considered a director? Man, that must be the shits.

I love 007 and I absolutely loved Casino Royale (2006). It was just the perfect Bond film IMO. Craig IS Bond and is already my favorite (I was a Brosnan child so Connery never "did it" for me) 007 and this is my favorite 007 movie. Can't wait for Bond 22 and I hope Martin Campbell stays on to direct it (it isn't like he directs anything else worth watching).

Bond Screenplay Co-Written by Connery Unearthed source: imdb
A completed screenplay of Warhead, a movie that would have returned Sean Connery to the screen as James Bond in 1977, has been discovered by British writer Robert Sellers, together with pre-production sketches and photographs, according to Scotland on Sunday. The screenplay, it noted, was co-written by Connery himself as well as thriller writer Len Deighton and Kevin McClory, who worked with Bond creator Ian Fleming on the screenplay for Thunderball. Connery would also have served as executive producer. The story about the fate of Warhead is to be told in a new book, The Battle for Bond, due to be published this week, the newspaper said. Sellers was quoted as saying that his source "actually had the original script. ... This wasn't a proposal or a suggestion, this was an actual script, a full-fledged, finished screenplay." He added: "You had an underwater base that rises out of the sea, you had helicopter attacks on the Statue of Liberty. ... It would have been the most extravagant Bond film ever."
end of article.
