Gilliam to direct ‘Harry Potter 6’? Rumour has it that Terry Gilliam (The Brothers Grimm) will be helming the next Harry Potter film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Digital Spy reports. The rumour is fuelled by an interview Gilliam did with Entertainment Weekly back in September. Gilliam said: “I was reading the script as I was flying to Los Angeles for the Warner Bros meeting and thought, 'Oh, she's seen Time Bandits, she's seen Monty Python.' "You know you're not going to get the job. It's just to keep her happy - due diligence. "The terrible thing about it was during the course of the meeting, I started getting enthusiastic - I was even getting myself excited. I remember leaving the meeting, getting in my car and driving for about two hours along Mulholland Drive just so angry I'd allowed myself to get excited about it. "I mean, Chris Columbus' versions are terrible. Just dull. Pedestrian. But I thought Alfonso Cuaron did a great job with the last one. I thought, 'Yeah, you got really close to it'.” Gilliam is famous for directing the Monty Python films. Gilliam attracts me to anything he does. By the way, this is still a rumour, but it's much more possible for this one to become true than the old rumours when they were starting the franchise.

Yea, I heard about this. I hope he does a good job, which he most likely will. I kinda like the Potter films, I own all of them. So, I hope this is the one that turns the rest of you onto these fun films.

I haven't seen the last two. The first two are so bad it hurts. I've heard the other two are pretty good, though.

Ya, 1 and 2 are my sisters DVDs. But I keep them safe for her. I liked 3 and 4, so I figured if they continue to improve, then why not buy them all.

I've seen them and hate them. So even if this is good I could never like those others piles.

I disliked the first two, the third one was great and the fourth fell somewhere in between.

The books were are alright but the films are utterly crap. The people making the films are really making shit out of gold. You know, huge star cast, good premises and lots of money pumped into them....the 4th one was abysmal.
