In stead, I see Romeros original 10 times at the day of the release. Why make a remake of the brilliant zombie-film from 1985? I`m so sad. So sad. What do you guys think of this?

George A. Romero is planning on directing a new film in the Dead-series, called Diary of the Dead. I have no further information, so if any of you have, bring it on.

I'm sure I talked about this with someone on here. I know I was telling a few friends of mine about it. Basically, I was willing to accept that Day of the Dead had some room for improvement - I mean, zombie knife fights... you put that in a movie and you'll have revenue coming in for years - but once I heard the "big spoiler," I was like "no."

Besides, I don't normally mind remakes, but I mean, come on, the remake of Dawn of the Dead? I think that would tip anyone off to the idea that these things don't work, even if they sell.

yeah, i completely agree. didn't they already do like some sequels to the original film or something? there is no need to ruin yet another classic horror film. i hate talking to people and having a discussion with them about dawn of the dead and they think i am talking about the remake because they don't know there is an original. it has happened before, and happened to an even greater degree with the texas chainsaw massacre, when i said i like the original the most, the kid thought i was talking about the remake, and he was talking about the newest one, which is a prequel. god, i wanted to barf.

even if there is room for improvement, you know they will fuck this one up with having fast zombies, jumpy shaky camera, screwing with the story, or something. it just won’t work, romero had something to say about society at the time, and needed to make the film, not to mention no one can tough the effects in the original, not even with cgi, they just look way too good. this will probably make tons of moneys, though.
