Didn't Zombie say this was a re-imagining or whatever? It looks like the same fucking movie, just with tiny pointless stuff changed. I mean look at that picture with Myers tilting his head looking at his kill, that is exactly out of the original. I haven't seen much original stuff from any previews/pictures yet. Has anyone else, and if so, tell me?

I haven't either. I mean, I really hope it isn't shot for shot. Didn't Zombie see the Psycho remake? But it looks as if he is doing a shot for shot here as well. Or maybe the shots he is using for the pictures are fake or something. But I doubt that.
Like I said before, I am going in with a positive attitude. The film is getting made and there is no way around it. If it sucks, it sucks. I will just watch the original. But if it is a decent tribute by a director who I think is coming into his own, I think it will be an enjoyable film.

Shot for shot? The only relatively similar things shown are the head tilting pic and the obvious homage of the car window smashing in the trailer. Other than that, this movie seems all new. It's only going to have the same basic storyline. I can guarantee you it won't be a shot for shot remake.

Well, mainly what I was talking about is the trailer. It shows the exact same kind of shot of little Myers walking into the house and killing his sister. Also, in the trailer, if I remember, it had the same girl in the sheets. And some other things I can't quite remember. (and the already mentioned tilting head thing) I hope you are right though, I don’t want to see something I have already seen.

I don't want a shot-for-shot remake (I like everyone else was horrified by the shittiness of the Psycho remake), but at the same time I don't want Zombie's completely new interpretation either, after seeing how awful House of 1,000 Corpses was.

Devils Rejects was awesome though. Zombie really came into his own with that movie. Lets hope we get a film with similar style to Rejects and not to the piece of crap that was House of 1000 Corpses.

I know that while this won't be a shot for shot remake, there will be familiar plot elements used (Lynda killed by ghost Michael, final chase, etc). This is the general Halloween storyline, only with added elements and others that have been changed. But no, it will be different enough to have warranted a remake but similar enough to be a remake.

Oh come on, House of a 1000 Corpses has good elements, you two! Didn't either of you at least enjoy the beginning of that film? And yes, Devil's Rejects is a really great film, yes, it is actually good. You should see it, clarknova.
slapshot, yeah, I didn't know what he was going to do since it was advertised, at least originally, as Zombie's own interpretation, and it didn't sound like it would be much like the original, besides the character. I don't mind that they are using some things, I can only hope the things he adds are good, since Halloween has always been one of my favorite horror films, since the story is so simple, yet so effective.

Oh come on, House of a 1000 Corpses has good elements, you two! fail. The beginning is great, as well as Haig's performance, and some other fun things are in it too. I mean come on; you know the cast is good! Also, poster off that site: What do you think of the poster?

Eh, the poster is decent, but that carrying the head thing has been done to death. And it looks like Myers has long grungy looking hair.
