WIDE RELEASESThe Messengers (Oxide Pang and Danny Pang) IMDb Description: An ominous darkness invades a sunflower farm in North Dakota, intent on tearing apart the newly settled Solomon family, whose youngest child, Ben, is at first the only one who can see the apparitions... My Opinion: I liked the Eye (one of the Pang brothers' other movies), but this looks like shit. Because I Said So (Michael Lehmann) IMDb Description: A meddling mother (Keaton) and her two oldest daughters (Lauren Graham and Piper Perabo) try to set up the baby of the family (Moore) with the right man. My Opinion: Bah. Cliche tripe. LIMITED RELEASESFactory Girl (George Hickenlooper) IMDb Description: In 1965, young Edie Sedgwick (Miller) drops out of Harvard and heads to New York City, where she becomes the muse of artist Andy Warhol (Pearce). My Opinion: I'm interested in the history behind this, but it's been getting bad reviews, plus Hayden Christiansen as Bob Dylan? Haha. Nice poster, though. PTAHOLE'S PICK

Thank god I live close to a cinemateque. Tonight their playing Devil from Satyajit Ray and tomorrow they continue the Rivette retro. with 'Paris Belongs to Us'. If it wasn't for them, i'd never be in the theaters. cinema.wisc.edu/index.php
