Arnold to do Terminator 4 Cameo? Source: Boston Herald March 1, 2007
MGM Chairman and CEO Harry Sloan said in Boston this week that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger may do a cameo appearance in Terminator 4.
"Yes, we will need a new actor," Sloan said about the title role. "But Arnold may do a cameo. I think it's in his contract."

Oh my. I like the first two films very much, but the third sucked ass. The series has developed more and more into a comic one, instead of a thrilling, dark one. Which in my view is very sad. It depends on who is going to direct this sequel, but I guess we're doomed nevertheless. I don't think Scorsese or Ridley Scott or anybody with a talent would do it, so, you know... this is going to be BAD. I think.

Yeah, the third one is one of the worst, stupidest sequels ever. Long action scenes don't necessarily make them good. I can't believe they continue to make these without Cameron on board. It is kinda cool we will at least probably get Arnold in there somewhere.

I seriously love the first two films. They are among my favorites. The third movie made me puke. It is sickening, ruining the perfect ending fo the second film. I have blocked that experience out of my memory, and will not even attempt to experience this.

No Termination for 'The Terminator' Source: IMDB
The governor of California is not likely to star in it, but a fourth Terminator movie appears to be a lock following the sale of franchise rights to the popular series. Daily Variety reported today (Thursday) that Halcyon, a privately funded company hatched recently by entrepreneurs Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson, had purchased the rights for an undisclosed sum from Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar and were preparing to begin production of Terminator 4, written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, who also wrote Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. In reporting the deal, Variety commented that the new producers see the fourth Terminator "as an attempt to reinvent the franchise with new cast and plot lines, ploys that worked for Batman and James Bond, and is being attempted with The Incredible Hulk."

I liked the third one, in a different way than I liked the first two though. The first two are classics and are smart thrillers. T3 was just a mindless action movie, but I enjoyed it for what it was. It can't compare with the original two, but it wasn't bad. It just wasn't what a Terminator sequel should have been.
