Same as the old thread, I figure, since it is 3 months in, we can start keeping track of our rankings.

1. TMNT (Kevin Munroe; 10/10)
That's right, 10, bitches. There may be better movies to come out this year, but I doubt it will be kicked down easily (besides Grindhouse and maybe Spider-Man 3).

You forgot The Simpsons Movie again, Tim. Anyways, does Pan's Labyrinth count? Ah, yes, the Simpsons will probably knock it down. Pan's Labyrinth is a 2006 movie, so I don't think so.

1. Grindhouse - 10/10 (probably will stay at the top, depending on The Simpsons Movie)
edited: added a rating for the film.

1. Grindhouse: Planet Terror 2. Grindhouse: Death Proof 3. TMNT 4. 300
Even though I go by IMDB, and they list 300 as a 2006 movie. Oh well, whatever.

(out of *****) Grindhouse ***1/2 Hot Fuzz *** Smokin' Aces *** Zodiac *** Blades of Glory **1/2 300 *** Hills Have Eyes II, The * Next (2007) ** Number 23, The ** Shooter **1/2 Vacancy ** Reaping, The * Spider-Man 3 * (This may seem harsh, but there really was no excuse for this movie to be so poorly handled. At least Vacancy and Next were meaningless time wasters. But this should have been much, much better. The drop in quality from the first two movies is painful to behold, and I didn't even like those that much.)

6. Freedom Writers (Richard LaGravenese; 1/10) One of the biggest piles of shit I've had the displeasure of seeing in the past few years. Hell, ever. Hilary "Forehead" Swank can't act worth dogshit. I fucking hate this movie and its cliche ass. Pretty much take Do the Right Thing and Dead Poet's Society, put 'em together and you got this movie. (except unlike Do the Right Thing and Dead Poet's Society, this is a film whose reels were made of bird feces) 5. TMNT (Kevin Munroe; 9/10) This, on the other hand, was a lot of fun. I love the turtles, and this is pretty much everything I wanted from a new Turtles movie. A little short, though. 4. Planet Terror (Robert Rodriguez; 9/10) So much fun. Every exploitation cliche is evident here, although it doesn't feel like the real article. The obviously fake scratches annoyed me occasionally, but this is a great film, regardless. 3. Spider-Man 3 (Sam Raimi; 9/10) Unlike many critics and others on this board, I absolutely loved this movie. Pretty much everything about it was great. Some of the plotlines got shafted a bit, but for pure enjoyment alone, I will defend this movie to the very end. 2. Death Proof (Quentin Tarantino; 10/10) A stunning piece of work from Tarantino. Death Proof is brilliant in every sense of the word. The way its shot, the way its edited, the acting, THE DIALOGUE! I love this movie, and it prooves that Tarantino hasn't lost any of the talent that he exhibited in the early nineties. 1. Hot Fuzz (Edgar Wright; 10/10) The best movie of the year. Why? For the same reason Shaun of the Dead was the best movie of 2004. It has everything. It is brilliantly made, hilarious, at times emotionally resonant, and the action scenes rule. I love it, and it is the best film of the year.

I fucking loved it. It's not cheesy exploitation at all. It's just a great movie about redemption and the blues.

Knocked Up (10) Black Snake Moan (10) Ratatouille (10) Hot Fuzz (10) Death Proof (10) TMNT (9) Spider-Man 3 (9) Planet Terror (9) Transformers (7)- Surprisingly good action flick with massive flaws. I hate Transformers as a property, but this movie was fun. Hopefully the sequel focuses more on the robots and less on the mostly boring human characters. Michael Bay's best (not that that's saying much)
