Sunset Boulevard is one of my favorites. But I was really dissapointed by Double Indemnity. I have only seen it one time, but I didn`t see whats so utterly great about it. Of course it`s well-made in many ways, but the acting and dialog seemed way to artificial. Any of you seen The Apartment btw? That`s a great comedy! ;D

Saw The Apartment since I posted in this thread and it is one of the best films I have ever seen. So well acted, and such a timeless story. Bold for it's time if I remember.

Yes, I just love that film! A timeless story, as you say, filled with so many interesting aspects; both tragic and comical (tragicomical, you could say). And Lemmon is just fantastic in the lead! Ah, I love it.
