The four big ones:
Halloween
Just a perfect horror film. This is what I look for in horror films. The score is one of the best ever and the whole feel of it is actually SCARY, which doesn't happen often.
Nightmare on Elm Street
I love this whole idea and I think the film is brilliant. England is so creepy and it is just a really original horror film.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The best horror film ever made, it is unlike anything else. The "score" is AWESOME! And the whole film is just a scary ride; the diner scene is one of the best scenes ever filmed. "Come on, grandpa!"
(Haven't seen that poster too many places, it's pretty sweet)
Friday the 13th
This film is just the basis for how all other “Slasher” films were set up, it started it all. I love the whole “didn't know she was bad” thing and the ending is one of the greatest.
Those are the big series' but there are so many “slasher” films I love that I could mention. Some of my favorites:
Sleepaway Camp
This film is one that I was so surprised by, I mean I knew nothing about it but my dad said it was hilarious, and it truly is. The ending is the stand out, but this film has so many quotable lines as well. It is really a must see for all “slasher” fans.
Child's Play
I really love the story (even if it is stolen from Twilight Zone). It is so entertaining and less bad than you would expect. The single reason it is AWESOME is this line "We're friends to the end! This is the end...friend!"
Basket Case
The single best "so bad it's good" film. I could watch this forever and not get sick of it. Literally a perfect film.
Hellraiser
Good film with a truly interesting story, yes story. It has great effects and I love it, but it is not that much fun to watch like the other films are.
I am obviously forgetting TONS. I would love to hear your thoughts on any “slasher” films. Or you can recommend them or anything you want, even rank them.
