Are you doing re-watches too, or was that the first time you had seen Pulp Fiction?

No rewatches included. Though it would be cool to watch Pulp again for the first time.

Yes, I would love to see that again for the first time. Its impact on my film taste is so strong, it is basically the reason I like good* films. I have Spartacus to watch at my house, but since I own it (I have many rented/borrowed films to watch) + it’s running time, I haven't watched it yet. Were you not a fan?
*In my opinion good films.

I'm probably being overly harsh in my ratings, the standard of films I have been watching this year is high. I did like Spartacus, more than I was expecting to from what I had heard. Its just that I've been making my way through Kubrick's back catalogue and this was the last one on my list. I thought Spartacus wasn't in the same league as most of his other films, Barry Lyndon or The Shining for example. I am not a huge fan of these big historical epics anyway and for entertaining me a little it deserves credit. I still preferred it to Gladiator or any of those other historical epics. Its probably worth watching but go in thinking of it as a Hollywood film, not a Kubrick film and you will be impressed.

Okay, thanks. I will take that in mind, although it will be a long time until I watch the film. I have so many other films I want to watch more. The Criterion set does look great, I look forward to digging into that afterwards.

This has been a pretty easy way for me to sort out what movies - IMDB for the most part, with a couple noteworthy ones without IMDB pages thrown in - I've been watching lately.
Incomplete viewings have a dash in front of them. I still want to catalogue them, this is actually turning out to be a definitive list of sorts for me that I'm keeping up with every day, so that's why they're there. I don't watch non-movie series that often, so I'll just throw them in for the hell of it.
March:
Ten Minute Film School (El Mariachi Style) - 8.5/10 Bedhead - 6/10 Dawn of the Dead remake - 6/10 Final Fantasy VII: Last Order - 8/10 {rewatch} Revolution OS - 8/10 {rewatch} Full Metal Jacket - 6/10 ** Blood Diamond - (first half, estimated 8/10) ** Digital Juice 1: Keikaku - ?/10 Blood Diamond - 8/10 Dawn of the Dead - 9/10 {rewatch, the remake is shit compared to this} ** Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Image En. version) - 9/10 {rewatch, ten minutes} MIND GAME - 10?/10 (not Top 20) ** She and Her Cat - ?/10 {rewatch #3, still undecided on the rating} ** She and Her Cat - ?/10 {rewatch #4, at least it's only five mins long} Pi - 8/10 Welcome (Dobro pozhalovat) - 9/10 11:14 - 7.5/10 ** Breathless - 8-9?/10 (40 mins, not entirely impressed) ** Chi-hwa-seon - 9?/10 (1 hr, mostly impressed) Alien - 8/10 ** Blow - ?/10 (20 mins, very positive reaction) It's Not Just You, Murray! - 8.5/10 {rewatch} Blow - 8/10 (evened out a little) Breathless - 8.4/10 (more positive reaction) ** Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Image En. version) - 9/10 {rewatch, 4x} Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - 9/10 Chi-hwa-seon - 9/10 Psycho - 9?/10 Making of Psycho - 9/10 (confirmed the 9/10 for Psycho) ** Three Colors: Blue - ?/10 (10 mins, positive reaction) ** My Beautiful Girl, Mari - 10?/10 (20 mins, very positive reaction) Anchorman - 5/10 ** Afro Samurai - episode 1 - 8/10 Three Colors: Blue - 8/10 ** 21 Grams - 9?/10 (40 mins, positive reaction) ** Mulholland Drive - ?/10 (30 mins, unsure but didn't hurt) 21 Grams - 9/10 ** Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song - 8-9?/10 (40 mins, positive reaction) Batman Begins - 8.5/10 Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - 7/10 La Haine - 9/10 ** The Maltese Falcon (1941) - 9?/10 (30 mins, positive reaction) Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song - 8/10 The Real Deal - 6/10 Legacy of the Jedi - 8/10 Trailer of My Life - 7/10 300 - 6?/10 The Maltese Falcon (1941) - 9/10 ** Mulholland Drive - 8?/10 (1:15, typical Lynchian weird) Escape From New York - 8/10 Shaun of the Dead - 9/10 Clean, Shaven - 8/10 ** Neon Genesis Evangelion - episodes 5, 6 and 7 - 10/10 for the series Bambi Meets Godzilla - 8/10 9 by Shane Acker - 9/10 ** The Twilight Samurai - 9?/10 (1 hr, very positive reaction) Godzilla Versus Disco Lando - 7/10 Buena Vista Fight Club - 6/10 Quentin Tarantino's Star Wars - 8/10 The Twilight Samurai - 9/10 This Film is Not Yet Rated - 6/10 {Average rating: 331.4/420 or 7.89, Rewatches: 4/42, Shorts: 13/42}

Jesus, it is going to be so hard for me to update this. I am so lazy, I should have been updating all along. Ugh. I will work on it over Easter break.

I am sickened by not having updated, I will be working on mine, putting all the films I can remember on here, soon. I will post when I finish it.

I won't be updating. I can barely remember everything I've watched, and the specific dates are even harder to remember.

My list has become very unruly, so I'm going to have one post per month, and at the end of the year just post it as a .txt file because of how long it'll be. I've noted incomplete viewings with a **. In Notepad, it's a Tab, but since I didn't feel like doing anything fancy and since these forums don't accept Tabs (can't drink ), I just put in a ** in front. Anyways, here's what I have for April. April:** Kill! - 9?/10 (55 min, positive reaction) ** Le Bagman - ?/10 (10 min preview, woah) Kill! - 9/10 Combination Platter - 8/10 TMNT (2007) - 7/10 Star Wreck II - 6/10 Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB - 7/10 {rewatch} Tokyo Godfathers - 9/10 The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - 8.5/10 Night of the Living Bread - 8/10 {rewatch} The Adventures of Prince Achmed - 9/10 Pale Rider - 6/10 The Naked Gun 1 - 8/10 The Big Lebowski - 10/10 {rewatch} ** Day of the Dead - 9?/10 (0-25 min, very positive reaction) ** Le Bagman - (I keep rewatching this splatstick masterpiece...) ** The Celluloid Closet - ?/10 (20 mins, positive reaction) ** Day of the Dead - 9+?/10 (25-55 min, very positive reaction) ** Aachi & Ssipak - ?/10 (5 min, all the wanted were popsicles...!) Grindhouse - 9/10 (overall) Day Of The Dead - 9/10 ** Day Of The Dead: zombie make-up featurette ?/10 (15 min) The Many Days of "Day Of The Dead" - 9/10 ("Ben-Hur with zombies in it") ** General Idi Amin Dada - ?/10 (1st: 15-30 min) The Last King of Scotland - 7/10 Fantasmagorie - ?/10 Follow Me Home - 7/10 ** Infernal Affairs 1 - 9?/10 (30 mins, very impressed) Samurai Banners - 7/10 My Best Friend's Birthday (Daja edit) - 8/10 Fantasmagorie - 7/10 {rewatch} Fast Film - 9/10 Mad Max - 7/10 Infernal Affairs - 9/10 My Beautiful Girl, Mari - 10/10 Takeshis' - 8/10 Digital Juice (all) - 8.5/10 ** Master of Mosquiton - episode 1 - ~/10 When Two Won't Do - 5/10 Scenic Highway (regular version) - 8/10 The Qui-Gon Show - 4/10 ** Master of Mosquiton - episode 2 - -/10 ** Master of Mosquiton - episode 3 - ~/10 ** Master of Mosquiton - episode 4 - +/10 El Topo - 9/10 ** Master of Mosquiton - episode 5 - x/10 ** Master of Mosquiton - episode 6 - ~/10 ** Idiocracy - 8?/10 (10 mins, decent enough) The Departed - 9/10 Scenic Highway (Alternative 1) - 8/10 Grindhouse - 10/10 {rewatch} (overall) Press Any Button - 7/10 Tetsuo: The Iron Man - 8/10 Eoghan Kidney's Stars - 9/10 {Average rating: 280/350 or 8.00, Rewatches: 5/35, Shorts: 10/35}

Posted through April. Eoghan Kidney's Stars is an obscure one I just found tonight, but it really caught my attention not just because of the subject matter, but because it's an Irish animated short. How often do you hear about Ireland's boooming animation industry? For a month's summary, found a couple Top 20s, which is anyone's goal in life, huh? If you like animation, and if you like anything by Studio Ghibli, then check out South Korea's answer to Miyazaki with My Beautiful Girl, Mari. For the opposite side of the movie spectrum, Grindhouse was even better the second time through. Number two is when you really start to connect the two movies, and I hear number three is where you really start to pick up on the things in the background, in particular for Grindhouse: Death Proof. I'm surprised my average was so high for this month - the past couple months were just below eight; I guess being aware of the number of movies I saw and going for a multiple of five helped that slightly, but I guess it helped that I didn't really see any lunkers this month. A few 4-7s, but nothing really too bad. And that's how my month in movies went. How did yours go?

I just updated with this colour-system... Hehe. It looks pretty bad, but I'll try it for a while.

Don't look at mine, I just started trying to remember the films I watched, and I just listed them there, I will be working on it more soon though, and once I get that done I will just update it. Then I will answer ie's question, I do believe my month went good though, but we will see.

I like how we all have different looks to our charts. Yours looks alright, kiddo, don't worry, but if I were to theftorize anyone's, it'd have to be nonfiction's. Great graphic designer right there. The one here with the blue font is masterfully sexay.
