Wow, I updated mine, for the most part. I still will have to get some of the dates on there, I will have to go back and look at when I rented the movies or something. Check it out. I am going to have to count mine up, everyone else should add the number of films you have seen this year, and then we can see who watches the most, or just compare them, since it will be fun.

Been a long month. If you told me I saw both Princess Mononoke and Aachi and Ssipak earlier this month, and within a day or two of each other, I might believe you. - I might be re-adjusting my rating scale, so 6/10 instead of 8/10, is a decent and agreeable movie. Most of the six or sevens could go up or down a little bit, but I did find some of the movies I mentioned on there to be agreeable, so I didn't give 'em like 3/10 or anything because they weren't exceptionally original or noteworthy.

- Worst was definitely Hackers. Goddamn. A friend of mine likes the cheese factor of it, but it just doesn't work for me. Second worst was Do You Have The Shine?, which was just a lame video (only rated it because it was on IMDB) recorded off a really stupid, shitty looking PC version of the Shining, with most of the visual ques stolen from the movie. No suspense, no point.

+ The best this month were: Princess Mononoke, Waking Life, 1001 Nights and Aachi and Ssipak. No, I don't find it at all odd that only two of those four animated movies were Japanese, and one of those doesn't have a single word of Japanese in it.

It's been a really long month, even though the time really is flying by, and, oddly enough, another 35 movie month, with only twenty feature lengths this month compared to twenty-five last month (I even had time for a six-episode anime last month...). Less rewatches and a lower score; there must be a connection.

That's a good idea. I've stopped giving grades (I use colours instead ), but for me, 6/10 would be an enjoyable/ok film, with many good elements in it, while 8/10 would be a great film.

I like the idea of counting films per month and choose a favorite, btw.

If you look at the rating scale as 5/10 is an average film, then I could see where you are going with that, but I could never bring myself to do something like that after so long. It would just seem like too low of a grade.

As for that best movie of the month thing or whatever, and seeing how many you watch per month, should that be in its own thread or something, or should we do it here? It is up to you guys; I like the idea, no matter where we do it.

Well, if you give 5/10 to an average movie, then I'd get a lot of complaints from people giving decent but average movies a 5/10. I've decided to stick with the 8/10 = average route.

I've also decided to highlight movers and shakers each month. Those are movies that were either really great or really made an impact. Doesn't have to a 9/10 or a 10/10 to be highlighted- if it was just enjoyable but I didn't get anything out of it, then I wouldn't highlight it. Like my rewatch of Film, Film, Film. Don't take it as the end all to see all, though.

Tekkonkinkreet was my personal favorite of this year. Almost became my favorite movie of all time.
