Not really a Scott fan (Gladiator's terribly overrated in my book, I just couldn't get into G.I. Jane, and Hannibal was simply awful), except for 2 films: Alien and Blade Runner. It's pretty much a toss-up for me, but I gotta go with Blade Runner. Sure, Alien's a blast to watch (especially the 1st time with the dinner scene) and revitalized the horror genre, but Blade Runner's in a league all by itself. Who knew such a perfect merging of sci-fi and noir could be accomplished?

Scott is an absolutely incredible director, in creating his intense atmospheres and his alleged intense attitude towards his cast and crew to get the best he can. Alien is an amazing film with immense visual style. He's great is what i guess i'm tying to say.

i feel he is very overrated by a lot of people, though underrated by some. he has some good movies. i need to see blade runner. why do you think he is underrated?

i think he once said he's not a fan of science fiction. funny, since his two (and only 2) great movies happen to be science fiction.
