How to get more woman directors

There is actually an article in the new Entertainment Weekly about this called "Hollywood vs. Women" by Christine Spines.

I just find this ridiculous! If a movie is good its good, no matter what sex directed it. People act like guys have an easy time making movies, not true, it's just more guys attempt in the first place to make a film than girls so it seems like there are few female directors. It's a stupid argument in my opinion. Women just turn and try to blame this "problem" on someone other than themselves, and tell us what to do. If more women tried, maybe there would actually be some good films by them. I will go to a movie if I feel like it, whether a girl or a guy directed it.

I just can't stand when people blame stuff on other people when it is really their fault. You think the average filmgoer even knows who directs a film? No they could care less. It's like when black people nowadays try and blame their problems on slavery or "the white man is keeping me down." It just irks me. But I will save my thoughts on that for another day.
