Kurosawa, Bergman, and Fellini are all great.

I have not seen enough to decide. Currently it's Kurosawa followed by Bergman and DeSica.

I've not seen much from the big two: Kurosawa and Bergman (I tried watching Seven Samurai but the print used for the BFI dvd was awful, so I gave up).
A few of my faves in no order (with favourite films from each) Park Chan-wook [Oldboy] Kim Ki-duk [3-Iron] Hur Jin-ho [April Snow] Sammo Hung [The Prodigal Son] Jackie Chan [Police Story] John Woo [The Killer] Francois Ozon [5 X 2] Oliver Hirschbiegel [Downfall] Michael Haneke [The Piano Teacher] Paul Verhoeven [US: Robocop. Holland: The Fourth Man]

From what I have seen, my personal favorites are Antonioni and Fellini. I guess I'm an Italian type-a guy?
