I rented:
A Decade Under the Influence Thin Red Line
And Kayla, This Is Spinal Tap is a fantastic film, you should like it. Probably already commented on it somewhere that I haven't read, though, lol. Can't see the film your friend made you rent, what is it?

Can't see the film your friend made you rent, what is it? Michael and I chose This is Spinal Tap, and my sister (Ella) chose... High School Musical. It was awfully, disgustingly puke-inducing. Blerrgghhh.

Oh, and I'm still going to watch This is Spinal Tap. You did comment on it, and that's part of why I got it (besides that Michael wouldn't get anything else, I wanted Spirit of the Beehive...).

Oh cool, I like when people take recommendations and stuff, if you get a chance again, try and get Spirit of the Beehive sometime, it is a really amazing piece of work. High School Musical? Oh God. *barfs*

Do you have to watch what your sister gets? Because if my sister rented that, I would steer as clear of it as possible.

Do you have to watch what your sister gets? Because if my sister rented that, I would steer as clear of it as possible. It isn't a must, no, but I like watching everything and anything I get my hands on, even if it is HSM. I guess my opinion on this is that it teaches me more. Does that make sense? I now know more about myself and what I don't like, and I try and explain to myself exactly what I didn't like and why, etc. HSM is a bad example though, I hated everything about it. I've always had this problem: I can't express myself in a concrete fashion, and I guess watching every single movie I can helps me because I force myself to think about things and to think about what I liked and disliked, and the reasons. Ahhh, shit, this isn't making sense anymore. Did you get any of that? Also, I felt HSM a masochistic but necessary torture, because of the hype it has created. I could never fight with kids who loved it and prove my point, now I can. Soooo... Does that make sense? And my sister feels hurt when I say I'd rather scratch my eyes out with blunt, rustynails than watch her stupid movies, as I'm her role model. I try and cultivate some good taste at select intervals, but she's still young. I don't want to ruin my influence on her by forcing these things down her throat, man! If you guys have younger sisters or brothers, you'll probably get what I'm saying. She loves This is Spinal Tap, Johnny Cash, Neko Case, Monty Python, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and so many more cool stuff, I must be doing something right. Anyway, I got this for tonight:

She loves This is Spinal Tap, Johnny Cash, Neko Case, Monty Python, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and so many more cool stuff, I must be doing something right. It makes perfect sense, at least to me; it is exactly how I feel. If there is a movie that looks terrible, but everyone likes, like a film like 300, then I have to see it, to see if I liked/disliked it, so I can tell these idiots why. I like watching bad movies, and you are right, it does help teach yourself what things you don't like in movies, if you only watch masterpieces, then you wouldn't even know what bad is, if that makes sense? Two of the best movies ever made, with Jules and Jim being in my top 20. Okay... Rented: Overnight (Finally, I can see how idiotic the director of Boondock Saints really is.) Night of the Bloody Apes/ Feast of Flesh (they sound amazing, as recommended [somewhat], by lordofdance) Film School Season One: Disc 1 Bought: (for $9.99 each) x2 (not keeping) x2 (keeping one; sold my copy of raging bull already) (now i have them all) (in a double feature for $1)

Didn't find Ozu set anyWHERE yesterday, so i got these instead: Had Bicycle Thieves before, sent it to my bro after I saw him at my dads funeral. Its now his all time favorite film. Well worth it. Now I really need to save some loot so im going to try and not buy If... , WR , and OZU until at least mid July.
