Freaks was awesome; so totally absorbing and fascinating, treating it's characters as colourful individuals rather than hollow stereotypes. There's an unsentimental tenderness in the description of the different characters, resulting in a emotionally engaging film, both heart-breaking and terrifying. I think the theme that is explored in this wonderful, little masterpiece is one of great importance and interest.

I miss your long reviews in "rate the last film you saw-thread". Have you too much to do in school, or are you just tired of writing about your film-experiences?

Whoa, I was just starting to feel bad about putting Il Vangelo Secondo Matteo so high on my list, but it's good to find another fan of this powerful and radically undervalued work.

I understand the "lack of time", I've had quite a lot to do myself lately. But now it's soon vacation, and I can watch a lot of films. Wohoo. It would've been great if you began writing some more about your film-experiences again. Really. I kinda miss the time when you wrote these long mini-reviews and shit (that reminds me: I have to see Naked Island soon! I remember so clearly your mini-review of that one).

Why vote for Pan's Labyrinth over the film that is 33rd on your list? Is Pan's Labyrinth higher or does this need to be redone?

this list REALLY needs to be re-done, this is such a terrible out-of-date list. mother of god. i will start working on it soon, but it will probably not be in exact order when i am done. pan's labyrinth might be somewhere on there, and andrei rublev probably won't.

i made a new list that is no where near complete, but it much more personal for me, i believe. please give me tons of feedback, good or bad. i left my last list on there to compare, and it doesn't look nice or anything yet, since i am not done.

i fixed the numbering, you were right, it was so fucked up. yeah, i am glad you like the movie that much, too. it is soo good. i forgot how great it was until i watched it in school. it is on my "on demand movies" so i might just re-watch it again. i love the feel of the movie, and the humor, and just everything about it.

thanks for the comments, too. i added pictures to the first couple of movies, and will add some more soon. i was working on finding the pictures and saving them first (ie recommended me doing that, and i think i got the first twenty saved, so they will be up sometime.)

haha, it is coming, sir, it is coming. the "boring" stuff will always be there, just not the same "boring" stuff as a lot of people have. you ain't gonna see andrei rublev back on my list or anything. you also aren't going to see too much animation films, obviously, since i haven't seen near as many as you, and don't really know how to rank any disney movies on my list, since most of my favorites i haven't seen in some time (god, when will jungle book come out!?). just look out for some of the evil dead series coming up, i know how much you loved the first one.
