These are some of the films that I hate the most, now this isn't a most overrated list, if it were than Scarface would be on here as well as others. This is just some of the films that I remember hating. Comment on them, argue with me, be as rough as you want, hell even agree with me if you want. I will add more when I think of them and some posters as well.
Most Hated (in no order):
Boondock Saints Garden State Ring 2 Saw 2 The Grudge Audition Gridiron Gang Ichi the Killer Million Dollar Baby Napolean Dynamyte (sp?) AMELIE!!!!! It fucking sucks!

thank you, THANK YOU, for bringing to light just how shitty the boodock saints is...and i'd have Saw on my list...it was so bad, i refuse to ever watch Saw 2, so that's a great choice too...and i don't even need to see gridiron gang. the commercials alone were enough to convince me that it was just another cliché-ridden sports movie. If it's a sports movie and it's not called Raging Bull, I hate it.
and i kinda liked audition...i mean, it'll never make my top 100+ list, but i thought it had a pretty cool twist and complete 180 with 20 minutes left.

The Boondock Saints is hands down one of my most hated movies of all time. Somebody asked me why I didn't like the movie on Flixster, and this was my response:
This is one of the most obnoxious, and just plain idiotic, movies I've ever seen. As I watched it, I literally thought I could hear long fingernails screeching across a chalk board. Boondock Saints is one of those rare movies that rubs me the wrong way so thouroughly and completely that I have to pinch myself as I watch it to make sure I'm not having a nightmare after eating too much Mexican food before I went to bed. I hate this movie. I hate it more than almost any other movie I have ever seen, except Powder and a few others. It is terrible in ways that no movie should ever be. Film school students should have an entire class devoted to how not to ever make another movie like Boondock Saints ever again.
There's not much I can add to my answer, except that I still violently hate The Boondock Saints just as much as now as I did then.

Well for me my hate of Audition stems from what Miike tried to do, I just don't find his films well-made at all. Nor do I think they succeeded at anything they try to do. Audition's ending for me wasn't a huge twist, it was one of the only decent parts of the film but it couldn't make up for how much I hate his "style" movies. And yes, Saw 2 would probably make you finally pull the trigger on your shotgun. I am amazed I ever survived. It has actually come to the point where I want to see Saw III, just to see how bad it is.

While I definitely don't share your abject hatred for Boondock Saints, I really don't care enough to start that debate. However, most hated movie ever? I can think of a slew of others (mostly teen comedies) that are infinitely worse.

Many teen comedies might be terrible, but none of them so greatly irritate me like The Boondock Saints. Most teen comedies are so inconsequential that they aren't worth getting pissed about. The Boondock Saints is an in-your-face piece of shit.

It's just like all the kids who wear Hot Topic shit. The clothing itself isn't overly offensive, it functions as clothing, and it doesn't look horrible. I just don't care to see kids wear shit from Hot Topic because some of it just makes me look bad. These kids who know next to nothing about gaming - just because you play a little bit of Halo, that does not make you an elite gamer, sorry, no - go around with gaming t-shirts and somehow between the time when I was their age and now, it somehow became socially acceptable to play games and do this and that?
Basically, you hate Napoleon Dynamite completely because of the dumbfucks who go around saying lines from it and wearing stupid memorabilia. The movie itself probably annoys you, but you wouldn't hate it half as much if it didn't have such a fucking stupid fanbase behind it.

That is actually probably true. I would hate it the same amount I do now, but I wouldn't go out of my way to say how much I hate the film if it wasn't for all those retards. Seriously. People think they know about movies after seeing movies like Fight Club, or other things, and wear and talk about them, but in truth most of them know nothing. Those are just the movies people see and then think they know about good movies. I love this discussion, we should continue our hate for people like these.

Actually it is, because that's the only real reason why there was any backlash against Napoleon Dynamite. Before it became meme material, it was just a really kind of weird comedy. It's easy to see why someone could hate it, but either you found it enduring or you just didn't care too much about it; there wasn't really massive fucking hatred against it. Then these Hot Topic Kids with their Napoleon Dynamite belt-buckles come along and annoy the shit out of people who just ddin't care about it before.
The only problem with this discussion, and your hatred for these kinds of people who just don't really know any better, is that it's not very constructive. I'm not a big fan of Napoleon Dynamite, and I'd need to rewatch it before deciding how I really feel about it, but you're never going to be convinced that it has anything redeemable about it (at least until I find something redeemable, which would require a rewatch). So essentially, we're at a statemate, even if can talk about the stupid Hot Topic Kids with their Napoleon Dynamite belt-buckles and Led Zeppelin (because it's an awesome movie, maaan, and I watched it like five times when it came out last year, duuuude) t-shirts.

If Hot Topic kids wanted to take the message of Fight Club to heart, they would stop going to Hot Topic.

Napolion Dynamite is a good film in my view. Maybe even great. I found many parts hilarious, and in addition to the film being funny it is very well photographed and has a nice pace. I remember Napolian Dynamite to be some kind of a relief, because it was so different in comparison with most "teen comedies" around. The audience isn't feeded with everything, and not all the jokes are about sexuality and stuff. Long time since I saw it, though, so I wouldn't comment much more on it. But I remember it as being a lot of fun, and definitively a nice relief from the usual "teen comedy" that is mass produced and feeded to the thirsty, horny, "good looks to be the focus of interest"-kids.

That's a good way to put it. Napoleon Dynamite is good for the genre it's in; maybe even outside of that genre as well, but it's been a while since I've seen it. Instead of being relying on being sometimes shocking and sometimes vile, Napoleon Dynamite stands out because it does not need to be shocking or vile to get to the humor. I like some of the one-liners. I was talking with a few of my friends, one referenced a line in the movie, and another did as well, so I referenced this line: "Who's the only one here knows illegal ninja moves from the government?" No one got it.

I think it doesn't take talent to do the kind of humor that is in that film, it is stupid Family Guy-type of humor. There is really nothing smart, or well-written about it. Your right it doesn't use any vulgarity, but it does use comedy that is just as stupid. You may laugh at just how stupid everything is, but anyone can do that. It may be good for kids, but really how good is a movie that teaches kids to act dumber than they already are? Teaches them to do long pauses for no reason, have there mouth open while slurring their words, etc. Not to mention how talent less that lead guy is who is in the film.

Get a grip. There's far worse things in the world to be pissed about. Your comment could be ok had it been an addition to some interesting thoughts about the film itself.
"how good is a movie that teaches kids to act dumber than they already are?"
What? How does it really teach kids to act dumber than they already are?
Long pauses for no reason? Isn't that just cool, and a relief from that hyper-fast bullshit that comes out of many other "teenage comedies"?

Remember, I am not saying it is one of the worst movies ever made; it is just one of my most hated. Well maybe I was overreacting, since kids and most teenagers are already really dumb. But what I meant by that was it started a whole thing with people non-stop quoting the lines, saying "vote for Pedro", etc. Yeah, I like it, both things can work, fast comedy and slow, but it has been done much better other places (like Ghost World, and other teenage comedies). I guess it is more the style of humor in that film that I hate the most. Just the comedy that tries to be funny with long pauses after saying a line, or "stupid humor." And am I the only one who finds the lead character to be SO irritating?

...But what I meant by that was it started a whole thing with people non-stop quoting the lines, saying "vote for Pedro", etc. You can't blaim the film for that. The film never says you should copy the characters behavior or dialogue, obvioulsy, so if that comment had been the only reason for you not liking it, I would not take it particulary serious. But you don't like it for other reasons as well, so I can fully accept you not liking the film. Of course. For me, the film is somewhat different than the standard comedy, and it's a great relief too see a comedy from the states with long pauses and some great camera work. I thought parts was funny as hell, and concerning the main character beeing irritating? Uh, isn't that supposed to be somewhat the meaning. Many of the charcters are irritating, and many of their actions are frustrating to watch, but it's how the guys behind the camera has pulled it off, that's delightful. As said, long time since I saw it, though. So take my opinions with a pinch of salt.

We've talked about this subject before, so no point in talking about it again. Oh, and you might want to spell Napoleon Dynamite correctly as well, and alphabetize it. This list will make you vomit, which I stole off your .5/5 ratings at Flixster: The Hot Chick Shriek if You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th Kazaam How High Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo Scooby-Doo Signs Wrong Turn Rollerball The Grudge Varsity Blues The Time Machine The Fast and the Furious Robots The 40-Year-Old Virgin Rocky V Halloween - The Curse of Michael Myers Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd The Lord of the Rings (animated) The Blair Witch Project Nutty Professor II - The Klumps National Treasure You've Got Mail The Cheetah Girls Mr. & Mrs. Smith The Dukes of Hazzard The Skeleton Key American Pie 2 Halloween - Resurrection Soul Plane House of the Dead Double Take Ghost Ship Kangaroo Jack Shanghai Knights Shark Tale First Kid Half Baked Snow Day The Scorpion King Sugar & Spice Homeward Bound II - Lost in San Francisco John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars Lost in Space Hocus Pocus You Got Served AVP - Alien Vs. People seem to hate me using the word pretentious around here but I have to use it, the film tries so hard to be quirky. The way it is told doesn't fit the story of the film at all, not to mention I felt nothing about any of the characters. They had no emotions, or nothing to connect to, and it wasn't all that well-made. I will give an example: Need I go on? He tries so hard to make it a quirky film, with art moments thrown in, but the end result is so contrived. Not to mention the script which tries to have "character moments" but just comes out sounding ridiculous, the man cannot write. And when he screams in that one scene, it almost made me barf. He also tries to force symbolism and meaning behind all this.

So I just had to ask. The thing I agree with most is not identifying with any characters. I tried to get into them, but it was just another "Uhhh, whatever... Just finish the movie" moment. Thanks for clearing that up. One thing I did remember was that it was trying, indeed, to be too quirky, and wasn't succeeding.
