Dawn is my favorite. Also love the other Dead films, Fulci's Zombi movies, and a lot more.

YES! It has the best zombie effects ever, best atmosphere, best zombie ever (bub), and countless other things that make it the best. It is Romero's masterpiece and THE masterpiece of all zombie films. Even Romero himself agrees with us!

I have only seen Land of the Dead, White Zombie and Shaun of the Dead. I'll vote for Shaun.

Just Saw Zombi 2 for the first time it was cool but slow, the zobie vs shark scene is the best fight scene in film of all time in my own opinion

I'm torn between Zombie and Return of the Living Dead. I have a good time laughing at Zombie, but Return of the Living Dead is genuinely funny. I hate Land of the Dead.

Not much of a Romero fan in the first place, and Land of the Dead was so creatively barren in my opinion that I couldn't stand it. All the characters were annoying and I was bored by the whole zombies acting human stuff. Day of the Dead already did it and Land of the Dead didn't really add much to the idea. Very blah overall.

Very blah overall. “Not much of a Romero fan,” please explain good sir in the Romero thread. I know me, as well as others, are huge fans, so we would really like to know. I thought it had many good ideas, such as the zombies evolving even more, also, the symbolism and writing is just as great as always. Look at how much the film comments on what is going on in the world, it has a lot to say in my opinion. Not to mention Romero is one of the only people trying to do something NEW with zombies still, all the rest of the shit coming out just does the same old stuff. There are some flaws, but like I said, we can continue this in the Romero thread. www.criterionmaster.proboards104.com/index.cgi?board=az&action=display&thread=1150012191

Man, zombie movies are and worthy. Day of the Dead definitely had better effects, but I liked Dawn of the Dead more overall. Dawn has it's fair share of minor flaws, but they were mostly budget in origin, so at least it wasn't one big flaw. Night is a really good one as well, even though I like Dawn and Day more. And Shaun of the Dead, oh man, zombies can really make anything better. I mean, all those silly Lifetime movies need to do is throw some zombies in, and they'd be fucking awesome. A woman discovers herself after FIGHTING OFF ZOMBIES! Her abusive husband ROSE FROM THE GRAVE! Her children were too dependent on her, SO WHEN THEY BECAME ZOMBIES SHE RAN THEM OVER WITH THE FAMILY CAR. Oh, it'd be perfect.
I can't vote yet since I haven't seen all of the movies listed, but I'd probably vote for Dawn. Or Day. I'd have to rewatch both, I guess.
