I'm trying to think of a good way to describe this film to those who haven't seen it. Try imagining a film that is kind of like a mixture of Hostel, Salo, and a softcore porn movie. That might give you some idea what kind of movie Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS is, but I think it's much more unpleasant than either Salo or Hostel. The torture and depravity in Ilsa is non-stop and much of it is seriously disgusting. Salo is maybe more depraved and Hostel is bloodier, but Ilsa is still truly, deeply sick and twisted. I've heard that there are even more nauseating Nazi torture movies than Ilsa, but I'm not sure if I'm quite ready for anything worse than Ilsa. Grossness **** Cruelty ***** Overall Disturbing Content ****1/2 Nudity ****1/2 Film Quality ***

As I posted in that one thread I was wondering if these were good. I am glad to hear they are. I actually got to meet the director of this film at the last Eerie Horror Fest. He even mentioned me in one part, something like "we need more people like him (points to me)" because I went there every day of the fest and got some sort of fan appreciation thing. He was cool, and it was the reason I wanted to check the films out. If this is worse than Salo I definitely need to see it. How are the sequels?

I gave a brief response to your original post, but I'll elaborate. Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks is probably grosser than Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS. There's a couple of scenes where I gagged a little bit. However, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks isn't quite as cruel. In fact, it has more of a sense of humor than She-Wolf of the SS. Ilsa the Wicked Warden was not originally intended to be a sequel. I believe it was titled Wanda the Wicked Warden at some point, along with numerous other titles. As I mentioned before, Ilsa the Wicked Warden isn't directed by Don Edmonds, the director of the other two. Jess Franco was behind Wicked Warden, and he's regarded as either one of the worst or greatest cult directors. Some people hate him, while others love him. His filmmaking style can be frustrating from what I've seen, but he does love to show of hot naked actresses. Ilsa the Wicked Warden is tame compared to the other two films, but there is alot of nudity. There is another sequel called Ilsa, She Tigress of Siberia, but it's not as easy to get a hold of from what I understand. www.amazon.com/Trilogy-Tigress-Siberi-NON-USA-FORMAT/dp/B000II1HTW/sr=11-1/qid=1166913053/ref=sr_11_1/104-3212668-5223962It's cool that you met Don Edmonds, that would be interesting to here his perspective on this film.

The fuss is pretty much over the nasty content of the films, which makes some people want to see them. The Ilsa movies are well made for the kind of films that they are, which makes them more enjoyable, I suppose. Most people will probably be disgusted, horrified, or pissed off that these movies even exist. But if you like movies that seriously push the envelope of cinematic decency, the Ilsa movies are a must-see.

I just can't see why someone can enjoy films that show torture only for the sake of it. What the fuck do you get out of it?

That's a question that the person watching it needs to ask him/herself. Personally, I'm curious to discover what kind of subject matter truly offends and disturbs me, so I can understand how my mind works. Some people probably get more from it than they should, I would guess.

I feel that you are a pretty sane guy, but I don't find it "healty" that films of this kind, offering nothing else than on-screen torture (I haven't seen it, so can't say anything bombastic, but, you know...), get so much attention. Why use up your time watching films that make use of tasteless activities only for selling the product?
Sorry if this sounds like a "moral speech" or something.. My motivation is not too say what you should like or not, I'm just interested in discussing this thing.
It's late over here, you know, so I'll go to bed now. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
