Sweet Movie

I saw this a few years ago on VHS tape, and it's still not available on DVD in Region 1 as far as I know. It's hands down one of the oddest, most unsavory films that I've seen. There are two stories going on the film, one which involves a woman who marries a guy with a golden penis and another about a woman who floats around on a boat with a Karl Marx head attached to the front. Both stories start out weird and just get weirder (and more unpleasant).

I can't even begin to explain what the movie is about, or what sort of meaning is behind it. All I know is, I had witnessed vomiting, eurination, a gyncological exam, murder in a vat of sugar, a striptease in front of young boys, a woman covered in chocolate, and probably a bunch of other inasnity by the the time Sweet Movie was over. It's truly crazy. When this does come out on DVD, maybe I'll suspend moral judgment and buy it.

I hope so. I haven't been able to forget this lunatic film, and I'd like to see a cleaned up version.

Looks like it'll be released in June! I can't believe it. Time to make my collection even more depraved.
