This is what killer Satanic hippies look like, in case you were wondering. I Drink Your Blood is the story of a group of hippie occultists that take up residence in a small town. They have their fun antagonizing the locals, that is, until a young boy decides to give them rabies infected meat pies. The hippies go from being obnoxious miscreants to outright psychopaths, and they take the whole town straight to hell with them. This'll teach those hippie bastards. Most of the violence and gore is on the humorous side, but there are a few disturbing moments here and there. I'm not sure if the effects of rabies is accurately portrayed in this movie, but perhaps this website, www.rabies.com/, might be helpful for those of you who would like to explore the topic after seeing I Drink Your Blood. Seek treatment immediately, or this could be you. Cruelty ***1/2 Grossness ***1/2 Overall Disturbing Content ***1/2 (pregnancy termination, rat killing) Nudity **1/2 Film Quality ***1/2

There isn't that much really disturbing violence in the movie. Probably the most shocking is the pregnancy termination I mentioned above, but it's not graphic. There's just something troubling about it. One of the nastiest fetus murder scenes I've seen was in Anthropophagus, and I Drink Your Blood doesn't come anywhere near to as tasteless as that. At the the time it was made, maybe I Drink Your Blood was considered hardcore. By today's standards, though, the violence isn't that severe.
Overall, I Drink Your Blood isn't really that gruesome. It's more funny than gross, I would say. I think you'd like it, though, based on the other types of movies you're into. But don't buy it for $28, for Heaven's sake! You can get it way cheaper. Even at Borders it's only $20.
