i saw the film and didn't really think it was that good. i thought it was well-made, and definitely well lit, but the film was just a bunch of "weird" things, or crazy things, that often made little sense, thrown together, there wasn't even really a thread of anything, or a point. if anyone has seen this film, please tell me the point of it, 'cause i didn't see one, or tell me why the film is soo good? i liked some elements of it, but overall i didn't really like it that much, i would probably rate it a 6.5/10. there was some good stuff, but it could have been so much better.

god, i hated this movie. solidified my thought that David Lynch is the Adam Dunn of film directors. For those of you who're sports-knowledge challenged, Adam Dunn is the left fielder for the Cincinatti Reds, and he defines the term slugger: every time he comes to the plate he does 1 of 2 things: he either hits a 500 foot home run or strikes out swinging.
This is David Lynch. His meshing of style (but not too much of that signature style) with masterful storytelling (Mulholland Dr., Blue Velvet, and Twin Peaks, and to a lesser extent Elephant Man) signal his home runs, while his complete reliance on style and "out there-ness" (Eraserhead, and to slightly lesser extents Lost Highway and Fire Walk With Me), to me, are his strikeouts...WAY too out there for my tastes.
Sorry for the whole baseball thing. It's my other obsession in life ;D

I enjoyed it, but it isn't a masterpiece by any means. I probably need to rewatch it considering I haven't seen it in five years...
