I am fairly good at playing the guitar, been playing for about three years now. I am getting a new guitar teacher next week. I also play bass guitar, which is simple to play if you are good enough at the six string, basic piano, and basic saxophone.

Ya for the new board! I just started playing guitar. I'm finding it hard but I'm practising lots and getting a little better each day.

Great, practice is the key to getting better, especially when you are just starting.

I am a monster at guitar! They call me Jimi Hendrix. I can also play the piano and keyboards. And I wish I could play the violin.

You can't play a lick of guitar, but you are pretty good at the piano. And violin is very hard, not as easy as Boyd Tinsley of DMB makes it look.

Used to play guitar and take lessons when I was younger, took them for about two years, was kinda good, then stopped playing for some reason, sold my guitar to buy an N64 and forgot everything I learned. I know want to start playing again, I pick up a guitar and it is like I never played before in my life. Sucks.

I just play acoustic and electric guitars. I've been playing for about two or three years now, but I don't play every day and it's really just more for fun for me rather than "oh, I'm gonna learn this song!", so I'm not that great at either instrument, but I could jam Zappa-style (jam for a long time) if I found someone to jam with. I haven't played with any bands or anything, but if I were, I'd probably end up playing bass or rhythm guitar, because I find myself going with a kind of bass rhythm rather than a wonked-out electric guitar fest. Bass is pretty easy, plus if you're just in a regular band where you won't be doing any bass solos, you can just stand there and look cool.

I got two turn tables and a mixer, but no computer to throw any scratches on. I've been fucking around making sounds for almost a year, but I still have no fucking clue what i'm doing. Its more like I come home fucked up and throw a good record on the L and my Seasame St. Vinyl on the R and tear the fuck out of it while i dig on some Young or Cave or whatever I think needs some scratching added.
I also played guitar for a about a year, but after only learning a few Nirvana / Blink 182 / Sublime songs, I gave it up. Would be into getting an acustic just to throw down on next to the fire pit over the summer, but I honestly cant remember one thing. I couldn't tune it if my life depended on it.

I play violin and piano (and if you want to include the really menial instruments I play the recorder too). Oh and I got a guitar for Christmas 06 and I've been playing since then, i can play Late Goodbye by Poets Of The Fall, Santa Monica by Theory Of A Deadman and a bit of Lost In Hollywood by SOAD. And woo! i finished writing my first song on guitar last saturday!

I'm starting to learn to play guitar. I'm taking lessons from one of my mother's friends who's one great guitarist in a well known local band. He left his guitar at our house one day, and I just picked it up and started doing something. He said I have a natural talent and he'll teach me for free, just to cultivate it YAY!

This is my new guitar teacher, Michael Whitehead, or Jim Neversink, as is the name of his band. www.myspace.com/westernworld (he's the one on the left on the picture... if you were wondering!)

I am going to talk to my uncle about it (he plays guitar), then figure out what I am going to buy and I will have it all before summer so we can jam in your garage. Also, I have been playing the harmonica. I downloaded an online class thing yesterday that teaches you how to play and takes you through steps. I am getting much better, I can almost play "Skip to My Loo."
