This means? How does it looks on a digital tuner? Needle hitting where else but the middle. Someone explain please!

Well, tuning down is where you adjust the knobs on your guitar. I guess a half step would be halfway between one key and another. Then again, I just jam, so I don't really pay attention to things like that, so maybe the Captain will be here to help you out.

It means if you are at E, then you go down to E flat or Eb, which is how it should look on a tuner. Needle hitting halfway between E and D.
