Korn (sometimes typeset as Koßn to fit their logo) is a nu metal band from Bakersfield, California. They are often credited with creating the nu metal genre, and inspiring a wave of nu metal, alternative metal and rap metal bands in the late 1990s and early 2000s, assisting in particular Limp Bizkit (who were discovered by Korn themselves), Staind and Incubus. Since their 1994 self-titled debut, Korn have sold over 25 million records worldwide - including 16 million in the U.S. -, making them one of the best selling metal acts of the last twelve years.

Wolfmother is an Australian band from Erskineville — a suburb of Sydney. The band consists of Andrew Stockdale (vocals/guitar), Chris Ross (bass/keyboards) and Myles Heskett (drums). Their music is inspired by rock acts such as MC5, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Kyuss.

I don't like either of these bands, but Wolfmother is the lesser of two evils, so I vote for Wolfmother.

Korn has been one of my favorites. Their first cd sounds like nnothing else. Love them live as well. KORN!

Pearl Jam is a rock band considered one of the most popular and influential artists of the 1990s. Their name is intimately tied to the rock scene of the early 1990s, and they are considered one of the Big Four of the grunge movement, alongside Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden. Although they are grouped into the grunge genre, their sound mirrors classic rock of the 1970s, strongly showing their biggest influences, which include Neil Young, The Who, and Ramones. They are also one of the few mainstream alternative rock bands that has remained active well beyond their contemporaries, remaining extremely popular 15 years into their career, still selling out stadiums and amphitheaters across the world.

Dan I'm sorry but I will always hate KoRn. They killed one of my favorite genres of music ever and turned it into a bunch of wanna be rappers with backing bands. I hate them, their records, their music, and the revolution they started. Nothing you ever show me will make me like them.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a California-based rock band, formed in Los Angeles in 1983.

Even though they have experienced numerous line-up changes and personal problems, the band has successfully created a sound that combines elements of funk, punk, rap, pop rock, psychedelic rock and heavy metal.

Since 1984, they have produced nine studio albums which have sold over 60 million copies worldwide. They also hold the records for most #1 modern rock hits with nine, and most weeks spent atop that chart, with 72.

Bane

Bane, a hardcore punk band, began as a side project between Aaron Dalbec (then of Converge) and Damon Bellardo. Dalbec approached Aaron Bedard (who had previously sang for the Worcester, Massachusetts hardcore band Backbone) about singing for Bane. They went into the studio in December of 1995 with a few friends and released a 5 song demo. The next year saw the release of their first EP, and many shows throughout central Massachusetts.
