Please tell me what you use to edit stuff. I have been trying to find something good, besides Windows Movie Maker. You can also use this thread to talk about different editing software as well, but please try and help me. Also, I would prefer if it was free, legally or illegally free, doesn't matter.

The Adobe stuff they have at school is good stuff. Maybe with the new guy replacing Sidelinger, you could get access to it.

I played around a little bit with Windows Movie Maker, and it seemed decent enough.
What were the problems you had with it?

Well there are many problems with it actually; when you are trying to edit and want to take something out of the middle of a clip you can't do it. You can only edit from either side so I had to come up with a technique of copying the full clip, then moving one side down to the time I want it, then pasting the clip again next to it and editing the other side down, and it almost never matches up. Don't even get me started on credits, they make you do the same kind of credits no matter what, and they are hard to make look good, or even get them look like film credits. And there is only a very limited amount of effects, which is my main problem, there are things I want to do in my films and can't because of the "generic" effects they provide, maybe if you could decide how "old" you want your film to look instead of three preset "old," "older," and "oldest" things already there. There are other problems too such as freezing and losing all the data, if you try and stop it too fast while editing and rewind it then your video gets little glitches throughout so if you don't save after every change you could lose it; and other things too.
And to beed, yeah maybe I can try and get a copy of Adobe, I was hoping I could find that free somewhere online though.
