Jan Grarup (39), Denmark, has covered numerous world events including the first Gulf War, the genocide in Rwanda, and the siege of Sarajevo. Starting his career at Danish newspaper Ekstra-Bladet, Grarup has worked as a freelance photographer for a number of publications, including Politiken. He has won numerous awards, and his work has been exhibited in Denmark, Albania, and France.
