I'm personally a bigger fan of the early material before Hotel California. Desperado is a classic record. However, Joe Walsh is an electrifying performer and a superb guitarist and I love his work with The Eagles.

I agree, their best stuff was before The Long Run. I'm looking forward to their new CD The Long Road to Eden.

I love this band, but don't really dig The Long Run album. What did you guys think of it?

The Eagles are one of my favorite bands ever. I think the Long Run is fantastic! One of my favorite albums ever. I don't think it is their best but I give it a 5/5, easily. Their isn't a single song on the album that I don't think is stunning. Except the Greeks don't want no Freaks.

I love the Long Run. The writing on it and Walsh's contributions make it one of my favorite Eagles records. Joe is just amazing.

Agreed. Heartache Tonight, I Can't Tell You Why, The Long Run, and The Sad Café are all great tracks. I actually prefer the live version of Heartache Tonight, it sounds even better than the studio version.
