[the band deserves a better introduction than this] I just wanted to quick make this thread. I talked with my dad on Sunday about his favorite bands, and AC/DC was one of them. I figured that would be a good excuse to go through their discography, and I'd also like to hear what you guys think of them. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap High Voltage For Those About To Rock We Salute You Highway to Hell Back in BlackAs I hear 'emAnd according to RYM, you guys are fans, especially Chris. So this should work nicely. I thought Back in Black was really generic, really. DDDC has some great diversity, but BiB sounded samey. Not that that really hurt things for me, because FTAtR uses practically the same riff all the way through. Literally, listen to the first five second of each song and tell me they don't use that unique guitar effect in each song. But I don't know, I guess BiB has sooo much hype surrounding it that it's easy to get disappointed because it was not... well, you get the idea. Suggested next album? I'm thinking more Bon Scott.

High Voltage and Highway to Hell are the next albums you should go to if you liked Bon Scott AC/DC.
I have started to drift away from AC/DC. Like you said, too much of their music with Brian Johnson sounds the same. I enjoy the Scott stuff, but I don't think these guys have made a decent album since The Razor's Edge.

Those were actually the two I was considering most; I was actually kind of surprised Highway to Hell wasn't on Back in Black, as a first timer to AC/DC, because I thought Back in Black had allllll of their hits, you know? Yeah. I can see why my dad likes AC/DC - because they're a good rock band for getting you going, and I do need to listen to more before I get a better opinion on things. So... Highway to Hell it is.

Short albums are nice for rating purposes. Here's what I have left: AC-DC Live (Special Edition) Ballbreaker Fly On The Wall If You Want Blood You've Got It (Live) Let There Be Rock Powerage Razor's Edge Stiff Upper Lip T.N.T Who Made Who I might go with TNT, Razor's Edge, some of their live stuff, then just go down the line.
