So, what are some of your favorite soundtracks? Not sure if we have a list like this going already, but if we do, we're doing it again here. I'll consult my favorite soundtracks list on this one, but I'll go with movies only on this post: - 32 Short Films About Glenn Gould
- Akira
- Dawn of the Dead
- Day of the Dead
- Electric Dragon 80,000 V
- Enter the Dragon
- Final Fantasy: Advent Children
- Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
- Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence
- Godzilla (by Ifukube Akira)
- Grindhouse: Planet Terror
- Holy Mountain
- Lost in Translation
- Predator
- Requiem for a Dream
- Santa Sangre
- Shaft
- Silent Hill
- Tekkonkinkreet
- Waking Life
- Zatoichi (all)
The Fountain just fell off the list, but are there any others I'm forgetting? And how about some of your favorites too? I bet you have some, I just know it.

I'm pretty sure we used to have a thread like this, but I can't seem to find it Anyway, anything by Morricone is usually solid gold (TGBU, OUATIW, Cinema Paradiso, etc.) but the Lord of the Rings soundtrack and Once's soundtrack are very good examples of excellent modern work.

Ah well, we'll just use this one since that one's old and moldy. TGBU was good, but it seemed a little repetitious. That is one problem with most soundtracks, I suppose, but you gotta work it well. Play the theme with a different instrument or tempo, but just reply the theme several times. It's been a while since I've listened to anything from LotR, or even seen any of the movies. I saw the first one when it came out in theaters and... that's it. I gotta check out more Joe Hisaishi ( Parasite Eve anyone?), the Halloween soundtrack and am listening to the Oldboy OST right now. edit: Also, check out Death Wish. It's generic movie score, but with Herbie Hancock's steady... hand. Death Wish 2 and 4 are also available.
