Just thought I'd make a thread about this: Obama is the 44th President.
Try to keep the hate down a minimum.

I think it rocks. I love spectating the freak show that is American politics. This is the polarity of society at its greatest.

would've been even more of a freakshow if we had actually elected Gilgamesh and his absolute imbecile of a running mate. I know! African Americans + all other races would feel oppressed for 8 more years, the whining would never cease. The talk of "fixed" elections would continue, the economy would (in all probability) continue to get worse. Sexist jokes would be the rave. Makes for great entertainment either way!

in other news, anyone see the election-centric South Park last night? Hysterical, and shockingly topical and up-to-date, even by South Park's quick production schedule standards.

At least you guys cut the hate down to a minimum. I for one am not wowed by Obama. There are just a few things that make me wonder whether Chuck "Norris" Baldwin would have made a better choice. Okay, I'm just skeptical for the sake of being skeptical. Everyone here needs to play Devil's Advocate for a minute, because even if drone weren't kicking it around here, it's still apparent that all we've seen of this thread is pro-Obama and anti-McCain, and that's not really much of a discussion is it? That's not going to convince anyone that you're right, just because you say it enough times. So try wearing a different color for a few minutes and see what happens. You're not going to catch The Ghey... Oh, and one more thing: how can you gain experience for becoming President? You can't really train for that. You don't need any certifications (or insert your favorite Bush joke) and you can't really job shadow for it. You can do all the studying you want, but day one, you're the boss of everything. No probationary period or on-the-job training. So would McCain have really been more qualified? (Of course, this is ignoring previous work experience and all that kind of stuff.) More later.
