Amores Perros is one of of my favorites and 21 Grams is nearly as good. Can't wait to see Babel.

Only seen 21 Grams, which I liked very much. I was pretty glued to the screen, as I remember it, and found the style of the movie to be very interesting. Probably going to check out Amores Perros and Babel after some time...

Definitely one of the most, if not THE most, passionate directors today, from anywhere. Really can't wait to see what he does next.

boy, that Babel was really something...in terms of the multi-narrative, intersecting structure, it's like Crash, except, you know, good.

So it is a trilogy of films or something? I haven't seen anything by this dude. Do the stories connect, or are they just called a trilogy like Stone's Vietnam trilogy or something? And do I have to see the first two before I see the new one? Which is the best?

No, its not a traditional trilogy. But many of the same themes are used in all three movies and they all use the same format. You can see any one you want first, but I would recommend starting at Perros and working towards Babel.

i'm guessing it's like Chan-wook Park's revenge trilogy: same general theme, no connecting story between them. babel's the only one i've seen, though...not that that hindered how much i enjoyed it, though.

Thanks for the answers. I will probably just check out the first film first, I was just wondering in case for some reason I got the chance to see Babel, without having seen the other films.

Babel is a very cool film, but I didn't care much for 21 Grams.

I thought Babel was as bland as a politician, well shot but just..... yawn. This guy started out well with Amores Perros then got a bit worse with Amores Perros and has now become cinemas answer to Michael Jackson.
We're all the same and we're all one big orb of humanity and we must all... actually, Alejandro, no, no we're not. It's Crash all over again.

Just popped in Babel, we'll see what I think. My father liked it, mom didn't. I'll be back with thoughts...

I really liked Babel, better than 21 Grams, but not on the same level as Amores Perros. Iñárritu is one of my favorite new directors, fresh and consistent. I can't wait to see what he will follow this up with.

Amores Perros was one of the best foreign language films i've seen in a long time (along with City of God of course); so gritty and real, a sort of play on the Pulp Fiction narrative and really expressive and interesting camerawork. Gael Garcia Bernal is brilliant, love him! 21 Grams i thought was a bit of a repetition, but still just as interesting. Haven't seen Babel yet, but it's on my list!!
