My friend swampandreviews came up with a movie challenge where each thing you watch is assigned a number of points and you just keep track during the month. people should try and do this for fun, it counts for tv episodes too and will be fun to compare even if you don't watch a lot of movies. (i'm going on vacation for 10 days, too, and i'm still doing it.)
* A movie is worth 1 point. * A film longer than 3h is worth 2 points. * An TV episode of any kind of series is worth 0,5 points provided that it’s a normal 40 to 50 minutes long. * A shorter TV episode (sitcoms, animes, etc.) that is 20 minutes long is worth 0,20 points. * If anyone of us watches Kobayashi’s The Human Condition (clocking around 9h30), he gets 5 points right off the bat. * 3 days spent without watching a film gives you a 0,5 penalty. You can easily counter this penalty with a TV episode, that’s up to you. * Lastly, a film seen in theatres is worth 1,5 points, as we don’t go out nearly enough.

I haven't kept track of the dates, but so far I'm at 20 points. Saw 6 episodes of Fringe yesterday, and three films today, including two theatrical viewings. Refer to my blog (swampandreviews.tumblr.com), I keep track of everything over there.
