My old list was perverted, really. Just so much formality.
My favorite movie is the Holy Mountain.
To me, the Holy Mountain truly represents the sum of all human knowledge. Perhaps rare, outdated knowledge, useless to most. More realistically, maybe it's because there is no movie quite like it that I know. Plenty of movies have copied the Seven Samurai, but the closest relatives I can think would be Pink Flamingos or some crazy low-budget movie like Mystics in Bali.
Some of my other favorites are, in no order I promise: Akira, American Beauty, the Big Lebowski, Reservoir Dogs, Seven Samurai, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Tron. That's all I should be bothered with at the moment.

Jodorowsky was a visionary for sure. But I prefer El Topo to The Holy Mountain.

I haven't seen El Topo in a while. What grabs you about El Topo?
